Description

The Director, Contract & Government Pricing is responsible for overseeing and managing third-party vendors that support commercial and government rebate processing, pricing calculations, data analysis, and the preparation and submission of government filings. This role provides critical analytical support and specialized knowledge to model and assess the impact of commercial strategies and business initiatives on Government Pricing calculations. The Director serves as a lead resource and strategic partner to Sales and Marketing while supporting broader revenue management initiatives to ensure accurate pricing governance, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence across all assigned programs.


This position will report to the Sr. Director Revenue, Pricing & Government Programs and may be based remotely or at our Coral Gables, Florida corporate headquarters. 

Requirements

Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

  • Work cross functionally and partner with Marketing, Sales, Market Access, Trade Distribution, Supply Chain, Finance, Legal, Compliance and Patient Services to strategically align on contracting and pricing opportunities
  • Execute, monitor and measure performance activities to support appropriate GTN calculations and accruals
  • Provide leadership and oversee the financial evaluation and assessment of healthcare policy and reimbursement landscape changes and assess the impact to Catalyst’s portfolio
  • Provide contract/financial modeling and analysis for all Commercial and Government contracts
  • Manage contract administration process to ensure contract proposals are properly reviewed and compliant with company policies
  • Provide support to external auditors on inquiries related to government contracts and pricing
  • Validate contract utilization associated with rebate terms to ensure payments are accurate and consistent with contractual agreements
  • Support government pricing calculations and ensure accurate and timely reporting for all government obligations
  • Review potential agreements and assess impact to Government reporting and commercial operations
  • Evaluate profitability and strategic benefit on contract proposals and monitor approved contracts against proposal analytics
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to monitor account and channel behaviors and impacts on financial reporting
  • Perform pricing analytics and the down-stream impact on margins and state transparency reporting
  • Provide administrative support to the Trade Distribution and Supply Chain team with inventory management, returns, chargeback management and contract compliance
  • Ensure timely and accurate administration of all pharmaceutical rebate contract agreements with external customers - including but not limited to Commercial, Medicaid, Coverage Gap, and Tricare. Manage the validation of monthly/quarterly payment calculations to ensure accuracy, and compliance of payments and financial reporting
  • Compliance with SOX controls and documentation requirements for controls around contract operations and government calculations
  • Works closely with Manufacturing and Logistics to ensure timely shipments to Customers and Business Partners
  • Ensure all contract and government price reporting processes and procedures are well-documented
  • Other duties as assigned

 Education/Experience/Skills: 

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, health care, business administration or related; Master's degree preferred
  • Requires minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible experience in Pharmaceutical Finance, Contracts & Pricing or Market Access functions
  • Working knowledge of reimbursement, pricing, managed care and healthcare policy preferred
  • Expertise in working with contract management systems and government reporting mandates for manufacturers
  • Successful ability to analyze proposals and strategically identify implications and risks of decisions
  • Strong analytical skills including problem-solving, forecasting, contract development, and financial modeling
  • Good understanding of regulatory, legal, compliance requirements for success
  • Ability to effectively communicate in verbal, written, and presentation form

The base salary for this position will range from $190,000 to $210,000. Candidate experience, professional licensing, and geographic location will be taken into consideration.
