Bodewell Group is seeking a full-time, Senior Account Executive, to join our Bay Area team. The Senior Account Executive is responsible for executing senior management and client vision including drafting communications and building relationships with key audiences; assists in business development by seeking new relationships for possible business opportunities. We are seeking an individual who is ready to support unique communications needs by developing tailored strategies and tactics that get results. Position
Location and Travel: This person must be located in the Bay Area. Our offices operate on a hybrid schedule, with 3 days onsite in San Francisco. Travel is required up to 10-15% of the time. This role will include early mornings, evenings, and weekends as required.
Compensation:
The annual base amount for this position is dependent on several factors, including the candidate’s geographic location, experience, and qualifications. The annual base amount may be adjusted based on market conditions in the location where the employee resides.
A typical annual base range for this role is: $70,000– $90,000 - (actual compensation may vary by location and will follow local regulations).
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate the development and implementation of public affairs, communications and outreach plans for various clients
- Develop engaging and innovative content for social media, advertising, videos, websites, fact sheets, presentations and other collateral as required to assist in a strong communication and outreach strategies for clients
- Work closely with Creative team for production of collateral materials
- Assist in coordinating meetings and events, including planning, promotion and vendor coordination
- Develop and manage implementation of social media strategies and campaigns, including calendars, content and analysis
- Develop and pitch creative ideas for gaining earned media hits
- Prepare reports on outreach, media, social media and other metrics to aid project planning and analysis
- Provide guidance to and assist junior staff members such as interns, account coordinators and account executives
- Build and maintain meaningful relationships with targeted, high-level external audiences
- Identify and pursue opportunities to expand client base
- Actively search for business opportunities by attending networking and community events, participating in professional associations and meeting informally with government and community contacts
- Additional responsibilities as required
- Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, public affairs, political science, public policy or related field required
- 3-7 years of relevant Public Affairs, Political Campaigns, Public Relations or Community Relations experience required
- Experience with client services and client relations, demonstrating diplomacy, discretion and tact
- Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to translate complex issues into clear, digestible, compelling content for diverse audiences
- Proven success in implementing communication plans
- Social media expertise, including advertising and targeting, preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated research and analytical skills, including the ability to synthesize information quickly and accurately
- Extremely organized and detail-oriented
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Fluency in Spanish or another language a bonus
- Working knowledge of San Francisco and Bay Area politics, policy issues, and key governmental and advocacy organizations
- Familiarity with local and regional media landscapes
