Summary:

We are seeking a full time detail-driven and proactive Human Resources Generalist to join our Human Resources team. This role requires the ability to handle all aspects of human resources, with a strong focus on HRIS administration, payroll coordination, employee training, leave administration, and workers’ compensation. The HR Generalist ensures accurate systems, compliant practices, and positive employee experiences aligned with the organization’s mission, values, and operational needs.


Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update HRIS records including employee data changes, job changes, and workflow approvals while ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Support payroll processing through data entry, timekeeping corrections, and data validation.
  • Maintain accurate digital and physical personnel files according to retention guidelines.
  • Manage compliance documentation, including I-9s, certifications, licenses, and training records.
  • Assist with policy updates, handbook revisions, and internal SOP development.
  • Support administration of employee benefits including questions, enrollments, changes, and terminations.
  • Help organize and manage annual open enrollment tasks.
  • Assist with onboarding and offboarding tasks including system setup, paperwork, and communication when needed.
  • Coordinate background checks and pre-employment requirements.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and professionalism with sensitive HR information.
  • Administer employee leave programs, including FMLA, ADA, and company specific leave policies.
  • Manage workers’ compensation claims from incident reporting through resolution, including coordination with carriers, medical providers, and leadership.
  • Support the administration of training programs, including compliance, safety, leadership, and professional development.
  • Manage the Learning Management System (LMS), including course assignments, tracking completion, and reporting.
  • Provide backup support to all HR team members as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements


  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or related field is preferred. Equivalent experience will be considered.
  • 3+ years of proven HR generalist experience is preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience working with an HRIS platform is required.
  • SHRM-CP, PHR, or similar certification is preferred.
  • Previous experience in Worker’s Compensation and FMLA is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and adapt to changing priorities is a must. 
  • Ability to lift and move equipment and materials up to 25 pounds.
  • Bending at waist, sitting, kneeling, climbing, walking, crouching as job may.
  • Strong understanding of HR recordkeeping, compliance, and employment laws.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organization, and follow-through.
  • Must have a “how can I help” attitude.
  • Ability and willingness to travel to all Greenacres locations is required (these currently include, Indian Hill, OH, Miami Township Clermont Co, OH, Felicity, OH and Oldenberg, IN).
  • Ability to successfully pass a post-offer pre-employment drug test, physical and fingerprint FBI background screen.

  • Ability to manage deadlines and prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
