About the Role


The Partnerships Development Manager is responsible for outbound partnership development: researching potential partners, initiating conversations, qualifying opportunities, and supporting the Strategic Partnerships Lead in advancing deals.


This role is ideal for someone who understands fintech ecosystems, knows how to open doors with senior stakeholders, and can generate a steady flow of qualified partnership opportunities. It’s proactive, research-heavy, and outreach-driven.


Key Responsibilities


Partnership Sourcing & Prospecting

  • Identify and research potential partnership targets across payroll, accounting, HR tech, vertical SaaS, marketplaces, and financial services
  • Build and maintain a strong outbound pipeline of partnership opportunities
  • Develop outreach strategies (email, LinkedIn ,events, warm intros) to engage senior decision-makers
  • Qualify inbound and outbound partnership leads and assess strategic fit

Outreach & Early Engagement

  • Conduct initial discovery calls to understand partner needs, business models, and integration potential
  • Clearly articulate Biz2Credit’s value proposition and partnership models
  • Prepare partner briefs, opportunity summaries, and handoff notes for the Strategic Partnerships Lead
  • Support early-stage pitch materials and customized outreach messaging

Market Intelligence & Strategy

  • Monitor trends in fintech partnerships, embedded lending, and SMB financing ecosystems
  • Map competitive landscapes and identify whitespace opportunities
  • Provide insights on which verticals or partner types show the highest potential
  • Track outreach performance and optimize messaging and targeting

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work with Marketing to develop outreach collateral and partner-facing materials
  • Collaborate with Product and Operations to understand integration capabilities and partnership requirements
  • Support the Strategic Partnerships Lead in preparing for partner meetings, demos, and proposals


Requirements
  • 3–6 years in business development, partnerships, sales development, or ecosystem growth
  • Experience in fintech, lending, SMB financing, SaaS, or financial services strongly preferred
  • Strong understanding of B2B partnership models, especially in fintech ecosystems
  • Proven track record of outbound prospecting and generating qualified conversations
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence speaking with senior executives
  • Highly organized, research-driven, and comfortable managing a large pipeline
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
  • A consistently full pipeline of qualified partnership opportunities
  • Increased volume of first meetings and discovery calls
  • Strong conversion from outreach to a qualified opportunity
  • Clear documentation and handoff processes that accelerate deal cycles
  • Identification of new verticals and partner categories that drive revenue growth


Salary Range

$100k-$125k
