Heartline Staffing, in partnership with Purple Cow Recruiting, is seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse for a travel assignment supporting a high-volume IR department at a Magnet-designated acute care hospital in Mission Hills, California.

This role supports complex diagnostic and interventional procedures in a fast-paced hospital-based environment.

POSITION OVERVIEW
This assignment is ideal for IR nurses experienced in high-acuity procedural environments who are comfortable supporting vascular and interventional cases while maintaining sterile technique and patient safety.

ASSIGNMENT DETAILS
• 13-week contract
• 4x10 Day shifts
• 07:30–18:00
• On-call required:
• One weekday overnight (18:00–07:00)
• Every other weekend
• 30-minute response time required

COMPENSATION
Because travel rates change frequently based on market demand and facility needs, our recruiters provide the most current and competitive pay packages during your initial conversation. Each compensation package is customized and may include taxable hourly wages along with tax-free stipends when applicable.

CLINICAL RESPONSIBILITIES
• Support interventional radiology procedures including angiography, embolization, biopsies, and vascular interventions
• Maintain sterile field and procedural safety
• Assist physicians during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
• Manage procedural workflow and patient care
• Utilize vascular closure devices including Perclose and StarClose
• Document care in Epic EMR

WORK ENVIRONMENT
• Magnet-designated acute care hospital
• Approximately 377 staffed beds
• High-volume IR department
• Advanced abdominal, pelvic, genitourinary, and vascular procedures
• Epic charting system
• Free parking available

• Minimum 1 year Interventional Radiology experience required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Experience with IR procedures including angiography, embolization, paracentesis, thoracentesis, biopsies, and vascular interventions required
• Ability to scrub, circulate, and maintain sterile field required
• Experience with vascular closure systems (Perclose, StarClose) required
• On-call availability required (weekday overnight and every other weekend)
• Ability to respond within 30 minutes while on call required
• Active California RN license required prior to start
• Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays
• RTO must be submitted with application

• Local radius rule applies
• LA fire card required within 30 days (not reimbursed)
• 2 supervisory references required covering 1 year within last 3 years
• Travelers may float within state as needed
• Modules non-billable (average 16 hours pre-start and annually)
