Salary Range: $140,000 – $160,000 base salary, plus bonus and benefits

Position Overview

We are seeking a Director of Planning to lead and scale an integrated planning function across a multi-site manufacturing organization within Elmet Technologies.

This role sits at the intersection of demand, capacity, inventory, and execution—and exists to bring discipline, clarity, and foresight to how the business plans and operates. The successful candidate will serve as the planning authority for the organization, partnering closely with Operations, Strategic Sourcing, Sales, Engineering, and Finance to enable confident, data-driven decisions.

This is a senior leadership role for a planning professional who thrives in complexity, brings calm to ambiguity, and knows how to translate strategy into execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end planning across demand, supply, production, capacity, and inventory for multiple manufacturing sites

• Establish and lead a robust S&OP / IBP cadence that aligns operational plans with financial and commercial priorities

• Translate customer demand and backlog into executable, prioritized production and material plans

• Define inventory strategies that improve service levels while optimizing working capital

• Serve as the primary planning partner to Strategic Sourcing, Operations, Sales, Engineering, and Finance

• Lead planning governance, decision frameworks, and escalation paths when trade-offs are required

• Drive improvements in planning systems, data integrity, and forecasting discipline

• Build, lead, and develop a high-performing planning organization across multiple locations

• Provide steady leadership when plans collide with real-world constraints

Ideal Candidate Profile

• 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in manufacturing planning, supply chain, or operations

• Proven success leading integrated planning or S&OP processes in a multi-site environment

• Experience building and developing planning teams across multiple locations

• Strong systems and analytical capability with the ability to translate data into decisions

• Trusted partner to senior leaders across operations, sourcing, finance, and commercial teams

• Comfortable leading through influence, not just authority

MBA, APICS, or equivalent credentials preferred.
