GENERAL SUMMARY 

The Catering Server supports the hospitality team by providing exceptional service during events held throughout the organization. This position offers a flexible work structure, where shifts are offered based on event schedules and staffing needs. Team members may be contacted with varying notice and can accept or decline shifts according to their availability. 

The Catering Server plays a vital role in creating positive guest experiences through efficient event setup, attentive food and beverage service, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.

FLEXIBLE SCHEDULING DETAILS 

  • Shifts are offered as events arise. 
  • Work hours will vary depending on event volume. 
  • Availability for evenings, weekends, holidays, and short-notice events is helpful. 
  • Ideal for individuals seeking flexible or supplemental work without a set weekly schedule. 

ESSENTIAL TASKS 

  • Provide excellent guest service throughout catered events. 
  • Understand and accurately describe menu items and beverage offerings. 
  • Assist with event setup, service delivery, and breakdown. 
  • Maintain clean and sanitized work areas and event spaces. 
  • Follow all food-safety, health, and ServSafe protocols. 
  • Interact with guests in a friendly, professional manner. 
  • Operate POS systems when required. 
  • Uphold organizational policies, procedures, and standards. 
  • Maintain reliability when confirming scheduled shifts. 
  • Support a positive and collaborative team environment. 


Requirements

KEY QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS 


Education: High school diploma or equivalent required 

Experience: 1 year of serving or hospitality experience preferred. 

Confidentiality: Handles confidential and sensitive information with professionalism 

Mental/Visual Demands: Requires normal mental alertness and visual acuity 

Physical Demands: Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching 

 Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds regularly 

Working Conditions: Work may occur in indoor or outdoor environments, sometimes in varying weather conditions 

Must be willing and able to work non-standard hours such as evenings, weekends, and holidays based on event needs 

Soft Skills: Excellent customer service, communication, teamwork, attention to detail, and a positive, professional attitude 

  • Must have a Valid Florida Driver’s License.  Must pass MVR.
