This position requires a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.

Candidates MUST hold a valid Wisconsin Pesticide License (DATCP pesticide license).


Position Summary:


The Pest Control Technician is responsible for applying pest control techniques to assist in the treatment and prevention of pest infestations in both residential and commercial settings. The technician will support field operations, provide excellent customer service, and develop skills in pest identification, treatment application, and customer engagement.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect properties and identify pest activity.
  • Determine appropriate pest control methods for various infestations.
  • Apply chemical and non-chemical treatments (sprays, baits, traps) in accordance with safety regulations and under supervision.
  • Set and monitor mechanical traps and devices for pest removal.
  • Post warning signage in areas treated with pesticides.
  • Support cleaning and preparation of treatment areas as needed.
  • Deliver exceptional service to customers, including property managers and residents, on an assigned route.
  • Upsell pest control products and services.
  • Document services performed and communicate treatment results and next steps to clients.
  • Maintain company vehicle cleanliness, perform pre- and post-route inspections, and adhere to safe driving standards.
  • Follow all operational procedures and safety protocols.
  • Conduct follow-ups and resolve customer concerns.
  • Open to training as a K9 Handler for bed bug detection work.
Requirements

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must have a valid Wisconsin pest control license
  • Must be able to speak and read English fluently.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Must pass a background check, motor vehicle report, and drug screening.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Willingness to work with common pests such as rodents, insects, and bed bugs.
  • Ability to work around and potentially handle trained detection dogs.
  • Strong communication, time management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic understanding or willingness to learn chemical safety (MSDS) and pest control practices.
  • Comfortable learning and using pest control software and route tracking systems.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Comfortable working in environments with pest infestations, including confined or dirty spaces.
  • Able to work in varied weather and environmental conditions.
