About the Role
As a member of our dynamic tech team, you will work collaboratively with team members and key stakeholders to provide web content management support for three websites maintained and/or managed by a Federal Customer. The ideal candidate is passionate about content strategy and has experience with Federal environments. This position is contingent on contract award.
Location: Remote with potential minimal travel to Client site.
Responsibilities
- Serve as team lead for a cross-functional group, including managing team workloads and assignments.
- Provide mentorship and coaching to junior team members, fostering skill development and collaboration.
- Develop and implement comprehensive content strategies that align with government objectives and project goals.
- Conduct user research and stakeholder interviews to understand content needs, priorities, and audience requirements.
- Create and maintain content guidelines, editorial standards, and governance frameworks to ensure consistency and compliance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, developers, and subject matter experts, to integrate content into overall project workflows.
- Oversee content lifecycle management, including planning, creation, approval, publishing, and archiving.
- Ensure all content complies with federal regulations, including Section 508 accessibility standards and agency-specific policies.
- Perform content audits and gap analyses to identify opportunities for improvement and optimization.
- Design and manage workflows and tools for efficient content production and review processes.
- Lead efforts to map user journeys, identifying key content touchpoints and optimizing user experience.
- Analyze content performance metrics and user feedback to inform data-driven content decisions and improvements.
- Serve as a content advocate, advising stakeholders on best practices for user-focused and accessible content design and strategy.
- Manage version control and ensure the integrity of content across digital platforms.
- Facilitate content-focused workshops, training sessions, and presentations for stakeholders and team members.
- Securely handle sensitive government information, adhering to all confidentiality and compliance requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Must Have
- You must be a US citizen and be able to pass and maintain a Public Trust Clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, English, Journalism, User Experience, Marketing, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in content strategy, content management, or related roles, with a strong focus on user-centered design.
- Demonstrated experience leading content strategy for government agencies or within the public sector.
- Expertise in content governance, including creating and maintaining style guides, editorial workflows, and content standards.
- Strong understanding of federal accessibility requirements, including Section 508 compliance.
- Proven ability to conduct content audits, gap analyses, and user research to inform strategy.
- Proficiency with content management systems (CMS) like Drupal, WordPress, or SharePoint.
- Knowledge of web design principles, including SEO, HTML, and information architecture.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret content performance metrics and user feedback for continuous improvement.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly to diverse audiences.
- Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments and using project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello).
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with experience managing and guiding content teams.
Nice to Have
- Experience supporting HHS or CMS
- Experience with healthcare related content strategy, design, or research
- Certifications such as CPACC (Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competencies), UX certifications, or PMI certifications are a plus

This is a Full-Time, W2 position. Corp-to-Corp and 1099 ineligible.
