Requirements

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

The Pricing Analyst develops data-driven pricing recommendations, utilizing detailed costing and pricing models to evaluate shipment profiles, zone and weight characteristics, and carrier cost structures, and converts these analyses into data-driven pricing recommendations. The Pricing Analyst partners closely with Sales and Operations to establish costs and ensure pricing decisions are accurate and support revenue growth, margin performance, and competitive positioning.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Apply costing and pricing models to set profitable rates within the established commercial framework
  • Process pricing proposals within defined turnaround standards
  • Update monthly accounting and operational data for cost processing
  • Coordinate with internal teams to support final rate publication
  • Maintain the pricing proposal history database
  • Conduct cost reviews for new accounts (90-day) and key accounts (quarterly/annually).
  • Support the annual general rate increase process
  • Produce ad-hoc analyses and reports as requested by leadership
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies
  • Perform additional duties as needed to support pricing and business objectives

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Economics, Finance, Data Analytics, or a related field required
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel; basic proficiency in PowerPoint and Word
  • Foundational experience with SQL (querying and simple data extraction) preferred
  • Basic understanding of pricing concepts, cost drivers, and margin analysis
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills with the ability to learn new tools and methods quickly
  • Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Internship or entry-level experience in logistics, parcel, or a service-based industry preferred (not required)
  • Ability to organize work, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines with guidance
  • Basic understanding of finance and accounting concepts relevant to pricing
  • Ability to produce accurate, concise reports and summaries with review from senior team members
  • Demonstrated professionalism, integrity, and sound judgment when handling sensitive information
  • Collaborative mindset with a willingness to support team projects and learn from more senior team members
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to company offices or facilities within the U.S. (generally less than 10%)
  • Flexibility to assist with additional responsibilities as needed while developing skills and experience

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to work 40 hours per week or more if required

Ability to lift and/or carry up to 20 lbs. unassisted

May require repetitive use of arms, hands, and fingers

May require prolonged periods of sitting and/or driving throughout the workday

Willing to travel to various job sites and other locations

Valid driver's license and proof of insurability required when job duties require use of motor vehicle

Requires exercising discretion in the decision-making process and maintaining strict confidentiality concerning the vendor, employee and company proprietary related information

Salary Description
$55,000-$65,000
