Our programs make a big impact—CareerSafe supports 2 million+ users per year, and K2Share delivers IT support on federal systems. You’ll have the opportunity to shape technology strategy, lead a talented IT team, and make a difference in a mission-driven, small-business environment that values professional growth and work/life balance.
About You:
You’re someone who takes pride in owning Linux systems end to end. You’re comfortable working close to the operating system and understand that reliability, security, and performance come from disciplined system administration, not just tooling.
You’ve supported production Linux environments with real uptime expectations, and you’re calm and decisive when systems misbehave. Patching, access control, security hardening, monitoring, and documentation aren’t afterthoughts for you — they’re part of how you build trust in systems. You enjoy working in a cloud-first environment, but your technical identity is rooted in Linux. You value predictable behavior, clear runbooks, and shared ownership, and you don’t rely on tribal knowledge or heroics to keep systems running. You communicate clearly, collaborate well with engineers and security partners, and take accountability seriously — especially when system availability or security is at risk.
Your Impact:
In this role, your work directly affects the stability, security, and availability of systems that support critical business operations and client-facing services. You will help ensure that Linux environments running in AWS are predictable, observable, and recoverable, even under failure conditions. Your ownership of patching, hardening, access controls, monitoring, and incident response will reduce operational risk and increase confidence during audits, deployments, and periods of peak demand.
By maintaining clear runbooks and operational documentation, you’ll enable shared ownership and reduce dependency on tribal knowledge or individual heroics. Your contributions will improve system reliability, shorten recovery times, and help the organization scale responsibly without sacrificing stability. When systems are under pressure, your decisions and actions will matter — and the reliability of our platforms will reflect the quality of your work.
