The Parker Store Associate/Customer Service Representative supports daily Parker Store operations by delivering excellent customer service and assisting with sales transactions, hose assembly, inventory activities, and general store upkeep. This role serves as a key point of contact for walk-in customers and provides backup support to the Customer Service Team while maintaining high standards of safety, accuracy, and professionalism.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service to all Parker Store guests.
- Process customer orders accurately and efficiently.
- Solve application problems for counter customers and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Respond to customer inquiries regarding pricing, availability, product information, and technical support.
- Assemble hydraulic hoses and related products per customer and specification requirements.
- Maintain solid product knowledge, including competitive product crossovers.
- Diagnose customer needs and provide honest, trustworthy product recommendations.
- Maintain and follow all cash and credit handling procedures.
- Purchase parts for rush orders and expedite items as needed to meet customer timelines.
- Process customer returns and resolve order processing issues.
- Load and maintain customer part number cross-references and specific pricing information.
- Utilize printed and online vendor resources to support customer needs.
- Keep product data, reference materials, and literature up to date.
- Assist with cycle counts, housekeeping, and general store organization.
- Actively work to develop and improve customer service and technical skills.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and safety standards.

Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience with fluid power or motion control products required.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience assembling hydraulic hoses.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and make sound decisions.
Physical Requirements:
- Work performed in a storefront and warehouse environment.
- Regular exposure to moving equipment, machine parts, oils, and cutting fluids.
- Ability to stand, walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, crouch, and stoop throughout the workday.
- Ability to push or pull lightweight to moderate loads.
- Ability to occasionally handle up to 100 lbs and lift up to 80 lbs.
- Ability to bend to the floor and lift objects as required.
- Ability to climb stairs and ladders and occasionally work in confined spaces.
- Operators of powered industrial trucks must meet physical qualifications including vision, hearing, depth perception, and reaction time.

Salary Range: $19/hr - $23/hr, or approximately $39,500.00 - $47,750.00 annually
