Description

QuesTek is both a pioneer and current market leader in Integrated Computational Materials Engineering (ICME), leveraging technologies proven to reduce the development time and cost, and to increase the performance of novel materials. We are seeking a marketing and communications intern to work with the Marketing Manager to build brand awareness, manage communications and generate interest.


Position Overview:

As a Marketing Specialist, you will support key initiatives across content development, messaging, lead generation, and market research. You will collaborate closely with the Marketing Manager to create high-quality marketing materials, execute targeted campaigns, and support efforts that drive brand awareness, audience engagement, and qualified lead growth. This role contributes directly to QuesTek’s brand presence in advanced materials, aerospace, defense, and related industries.


Prospecting & Lead Generation:

  • Assist in the development and implementation of lead generation and outbound marketing campaigns
  • Research and identify potential leads through various channels, including industry publications, events, and online platforms.
  • Build, organize, and maintain prospect and lead lists with accurate, up-to-date information
  • Support email outreach campaigns, follow-up sequences, and campaign tracking
  • Help qualify and organize leads for marketing and business development follow-up

Content, Video & Visual Asset Development:

  • Create and edit short-form videos, graphics, and visual assets for LinkedIn, email campaigns, webinars, and the website
  • Assist with video editing for webinars, interviews, demos, and promotional clips
  • Design marketing graphics, presentation visuals, and campaign artwork using Adobe Creative Suite and/or Canva
  • Collaborate with the Marketing Manager to ensure visual consistency with QuesTek’s brand and technical positioning

Messaging & Copy Support:

  • Assist with writing and editing marketing copy for emails, landing pages, social posts, and lead-generation assets
  • Help adapt technical content into clear, engaging messaging for target audiences
  • Maintain consistent brand voice across written and visual materials

Events & Conference Support:

  • Support marketing for industry events, conferences, workshops, and webinars
  • Assist with pre- and post-event promotion, including email campaigns, social posts, landing pages, and visual assets
  • Research attendees, speakers, sponsors, and target organizations for prospecting and outreach
  • Help manage post-event follow-up, including lead organization, recap content, and follow-up communications

 Market Research & Insights:

  • Conduct keyword and topic research to identify high-interest subjects for content and campaigns.
  • Analyze competitor content, events, and messaging to surface opportunities for differentiation.
  • Gather and summarize insights to inform content strategy, audience targeting, and lead generation efforts.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, media studies, or a related field.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic knowledge of marketing principles and strategies.
  • Preferred proficiency in the following software: Adobe Creative Suite, Canva 
  • Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) and social media platforms.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Creative mindset with the ability to think outside the box.
