Department: VIR Human Resources
Reports To: VIR HR Director/Department of Interest
Purpose: The purpose of this position is to learn more about the operations of Virginia International Raceway as it relates to curriculum or field of interests.
Job Responsibilities
- Contribute to the success of your department by actively working on tasks and projects defined in the internship plan.
- Participate in structured rotations through multiple departments.
- Collaborate with team members and leadership to understand departmental objectives.
- Attend training sessions and shadow staff to gain insight into best practices.
- Contribute ideas and feedback to improve internal processes or guest experiences.
- Departments May Include:
- Maintenance
- Resort Operations
- Marketing and Communications
- HR/Accounting
- Track Operations
- IT (if applicable)
Requirements
- Must be enrolled in a two-year program, four-year university, or in the final year of high school; preferred fields include Business, Hospitality, Marketing, or related studies.
- Ability to work multiple weekends throughout the season and maintain a flexible schedule.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Must be able to pass a background and drug test
- Submission of a Cover Letter with explanation of Department of Interest.
