The Opportunity

We are looking for a Sales Director to lead, coach, and develop a team of 5-6 individual contributors to consistently exceed quotas and performance metrics, this person will also carry an individual sales quota. The role calls for a driven, passionate, self-motivated leader who is committed to identifying clients’ needs and delivering appropriate solutions - leveraging our full suite of products and services. 

Candidate will participate in every stage of the sales process; from top-of-funnel through close and initial onboarding. 


What you will do 

  • Lead new business growth across the State & Local Government (SLED) market, specifically payment processing
  • This role blends player-coach responsibilities: the Sales Director will own a personal sales quota while directly managing, developing, and scaling a team of 5 - 6 high-performing individual contributors (Sales Executives and/or Solutions Engineers)
  • Close new business that meets ARR target
  • Develop & execute sales plan to grow share of market
  • Continually prospect to add new viable accounts
  • Foster trusted relationships with prospective government employees
  • Coordinate complex sales
  • Consultative, client-centric, solution-oriented sales (MEDDICC)
  • Create delighted & referenceable clients
  • Deliver client proposals, RFP responses, & demos
  • Maintain opportunity pipeline at 5x ARR quota
  • Maintain sound eCRM hygiene & deliver accurate quarterly forecasts


Requirements

What You Will Need to Succeed

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Proven track record of identifying & closing new business
  • Ability to build personal relationships with government prospects and clients
  • 5+ years of experience in government and/or payments market
  • Ability to work remotely & travel up to 50%.
