About the Role
DevOps Consultants are a core part of CloudBees Services, helping customers move faster and get real value from our technology. Our mission is simple: make our customers wildly successful by designing and delivering world-class DevSecOps solutions.
As a Consultant, you will work with some of the world’s largest and most innovative organizations, including Fortune 100 companies and major government agencies, across industries like finance, high-tech, and healthcare. You will join a highly collaborative team that tackles real, high-impact challenges in modern software delivery.
You will work directly with customers every day, primarily remote with occasional onsite engagements. One moment you might be at a whiteboard explaining an architecture; the next, you’ll be hands-on at a Linux terminal building automated, scripted solutions. You’ll provide technical leadership to diverse audiences and help customers unlock the full potential of their CloudBees investment.
This role is about more than tools - it is about vision. You will help customers evolve their DevSecOps practices by integrating best-of-breed open source and commercial technologies across cloud-native and legacy environments, while shaping a clear path to better, faster, and more secure software delivery.

Key Responsibilities
Partner with Customers
- Collaborate closely with customers to understand their goals and deliver practical, outcome-driven technical recommendations.
- Advise customers on DevSecOps architecture and implementation best practices.
- Propose & Build proofs of concept to validate solutions
- Influence account adoption plans to ensure long-term customer success.
- Advocate for the customer within CloudBees, providing real-world context that helps shape product direction and features.
- Collaborate with audiences ranging from engineers to execs.
- Occasional company sponsored travel for client workshops and company meetings.
Collaborate Across the Ecosystem
- Partner with CloudBees sales, pre-sales engineers, Product Management, Product Engineering and other Services teams to deliver great customer outcomes.
- Coordinate with other functions to ensure good outcomes from issues and escalations.
- Support CloudBees partners as they build their technical expertise and strengthen joint customer engagements.
Continuously Learn and Lead
- Develop deep expertise with CloudBees solutions to serve as a trusted technical advisor.
- Stay current with DevSecOps trends and emerging technologies to bring best practices and maximum value to customers.
Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in a similar role, ideally as a client facing Consultant.
- Strong experience with DevSecOps principals and processes, plus software release processes and application monitoring at large scale
- Solid experience with Cloud Platform Providers (AWS, GCP, Azure, CKA)
- Scripting (Shell, Groovy, Python or similar)
- Hands-on experience with common DevSecOps tools and applications like Docker, Helm, Kubernetes,
- Experience with using CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Harness, GitHub, GitLab, etc.
- Experience with traditional software deployment methods.
- Great communication skills covering all levels from technical experts to execs
Preferred (not required):
- Certifications relating to any of the above.
- Experience as a Developer.
- Experience with Enterprise Architecture at scale.
- Experience configuring with Observability solutions such as Splunk, DynaTrace, AppDynamics, OpenTelemetry, etc

Compensation & Benefits
- Base Pay Range: [$100,000 – $125,000 annually] In accordance with applicable law, this represents a reasonable estimated compensation range for this role. Actual compensation will be determined based on skills, experience, and geographic location and may be more or less than the amount shown above. Outside of base compensation, CloudBees also offer stock options and variable bonuses.
