Description

Indiana Farmers Insurance is currently looking for a DevOps Engineer to join our Information Technology team. The ideal candidate will be located in Indiana, Illinois, Ohio, Kentucky, or Michigan, but we may consider other work locations.

  

The DevOps Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining automated solutions that streamline software development, deployment, and infrastructure management. This role focuses on building and optimizing CI/CD pipelines, managing cloud environments, and ensuring system reliability and scalability. The DevOps engineer will collaborate closely with development, operations, and security teams to enable rapid, secure, and consistent delivery of applications and services.

Requirements

Responsibilities for the  DevOps Engineer:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field; may substitute relevant experience
  • 5 years of experience building systems
  • Strong expertise in automation, containerization, and monitoring tools to maintain highly available and performant systems that meet business objectives 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including demonstrated ability to work effectively through cross-disciplined teams 
  • Possess strong project management skills such as good leadership, planning, organizing, and supervising skills that will enable them to work and manage large projects effectively
