The Knowledge & Development Instructor helps support the growth and success of credit union employees by creating and delivering meaningful learning experiences. In this role, you’ll guide staff through engaging training sessions, develop clear and effective learning materials, and adapt your approach to meet the needs of different learners. You’ll work closely with leaders and teams across the organization to ensure training reflects current practices, supports employee development, and strengthens service to our members. As part of the Knowledge & Development team, you’ll contribute to a positive learning culture and help employees feel confident, capable, and prepared in their roles.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Facilitate engaging in-person and virtual training programs, workshops, and specialty sessions using effective adult-learning methods and instructional design principles.
- Design, update, and maintain high-quality training materials that promote critical thinking, skill mastery, knowledge transfer, and behavior change.
- Create positive, professional learning experiences through clear communication, effective feedback, and an approachable facilitation style.
- Assess learner needs in real time and adjust delivery to support comprehension, confidence, and performance.
- Track learner progress through assessments, observation, and feedback, and use insights to improve training effectiveness.
- Stay current on industry regulations, credit-union procedures, and learning best practices, update content accordingly.
- Collaborate with managers, stakeholders, and Knowledge Management to identify learning needs, integrate organizational knowledge, and support process improvement.
- Maintain strong knowledge of credit union products, services, policies, and compliance requirements.
- Contribute to L&D team initiatives including curriculum design, project work, metrics, and cross-training.
- Demonstrate professionalism and support the credit union’s mission, vision, and values in all learning interactions.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and complete required compliance training.
- Perform additional duties as needed to support organizational learning.
Salary
Starting pay: $24.69 –$30.86 hourly, based on qualifications, internal equity, and budget.

Experience
Three to five years of similar or related experience including training, learning and facilitation. Experience in financial services desired.
Education
(1) A two-year college degree, or (2) completion of a specialized certification or licensing, or (3) completion of specialized training courses conducted by vendors, or (4) job-specific skills acquired through an apprenticeship program.

Work Environment
This role may occasionally require flexible or non-traditional hours to support training needs. Travel between branch locations is expected, so reliable transportation is necessary.
