Job Purpose
Resource Central’s Lawn Replacement program partners with dozens of Colorado municipalities and water providers to make waterwise landscapes the new norm in Colorado through sustainable landscaping options. The Customer Service Associate will be a go-to Resource Central representative for program participants, supporting the Lawn Replacement program through exceptional customer service delivered via phone and email. The anticipated start date for this position is February 23, 2026, with flexibility for candidates who are available between late February and early March. This is a temporary, seasonal position expected to conclude in September 2026.


This is a part-time, hybrid position averaging 20-hours a week primarily during weekday business hours, with some flexibility based on program demand, to accommodate your needs while balancing in-office and remote work. It is based in Boulder, CO. Compensation ranges from $20.00-$23.00/hr and includes paid training and accrued sick leave. In this role, you will help program participants take meaningful steps toward conservation, turning their ideas into actions that benefit both the environment and the community, while gaining valuable hands-on experience in the water industry!


Key Responsibilities

The essential duties of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Help people conserve water by providing exceptional customer service and communication to homeowners via phone and email for the Lawn Replacement Program.
  • Provide administrative and programmatic support to meet team goals by reviewing applications, scheduling appointments, submitting Colorado 811 tickets, and conducting one-on-one customer consultations with program participants.
  • Communicate knowledgeably and effectively with program participants about Resource Central’s Lawn Replacement program while educating homeowners and business owners on best practices in landscape conversion.
  • Participate in regularly scheduled meetings in person, virtually, and on the phone. 
  • Assist with other Resource Central programs as assigned.
  • Help build a strong sense of belonging by ensuring everyone feels welcomed, valued, and included at Resource Central.

  • Demonstrates basic computer and smartphone proficiency, with experience in CRM or ticketing tools preferred.
  • A passion for environmental stewardship, sustainable practices, or a strong desire to learn.
  • Ability to capture and verify critical program information through detailed note-taking and meticulous review.

Qualifications 

  • Must be passionate about helping people conserve water, or have a strong desire to learn
  • Experience in communications, public relations, or customer service is required.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age upon start date.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must pass a background check if offered the position.
