Description

We are hiring a Senior Curriculum Developer who will design advanced multi-modal training programs addressing evolving talent needs from organizational changes, internal growth, and industry shifts. 


Business Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.*

*Based upon business needs, our positions may require working flexible hours, including weekends.


This position is based in Anaheim Hills CA with the opportunity to work on a hybrid-remote schedule which consists of 2 days in-office and 3 days working remote from home.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Certification from Association for Talent Development or related professional association.  
  • 3+ years of experience in workplace training, learning & development, or similar role.
  • 3+ years of experience developing complex training curriculum using a variety of media, including instructor-led classroom (for other trainers to deliver), webinar, video, job aids, and self-directed training.
  • 2+ years executing cross-functional curriculum development projects.
  • 2+ years developing project plans, including project scoping, training delivery, and project execution. 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Instructional Design or related field; or current certification as Instructional Designer (from Association for Talent Development). 

Skills and Abilities

  • Proficient in all applicable MS Office programs (i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, etc.)
  • Proficient in: Adobe Captivate, Articulate 360, Vyond and Camtasia (or similar eLearning design software).
  • Proficient in all applicable MS Office programs (i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, etc.).
  • Proficient in learning management systems and/or knowledge management platforms.  
  • Strong organizational skills with experience managing cross-functional initiatives and vendor relationships.
  • Proven ability to create emotionally resonant experiences that drive loyalty.
  • Ability to extract, read, and utilize Member data to trigger workflows and measure ROI.
  • Ability to learn, adopt, and responsibly use new technologies, including AI-enabled tools.
  • Demonstrated digital literacy, including comfort with data dashboards, workflow tools, and collaboration platforms (e.g., M365, Teams, CRM, knowledge systems).
  • Use of technology to enhance efficiency, service quality, communication, and decision-making.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to lead cross-departmental efforts and inspire team participation.
  • High empathy and understanding of Member and team member needs.
  • Maintains a service mindset and balances efficiency with human connection.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Conducts training needs assessments with business and project leaders to establish skill and knowledge gaps. 
  • Recommends and designs needs-based training programs based on identified skill, knowledge, and service gaps of employees and teams, as well as evolving talent needs from organizational changes, internal growth, and industry shifts.
  • Designs and develops multi-modal course content, audio/visual aids, test criteria, handouts, learning aids, training manuals, reference library, multimedia visual aids, and other educational materials and ensures they are compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Maintains a knowledge base of training materials, product   documentation and other information, recommending enhancements to meet the needs of a diverse learner population.
  • Designs testing, evaluation, and measurement procedures and   tools for development and training programs. Evaluates the effectiveness and creativity of training programs, materials, methods, and content. Fine-tunes curriculum development as needed.
  • Partners with business leaders to execute on cross-functional instructional design projects.
  • Represents department in organization-wide strategic project teams.
  • Recommends instructional package templates for all learning modalities, including learning objectives, testing instruments, course   agendas, trainer guides, learner guides, evaluation instruments, and job aids.
  • Applies in-depth knowledge of instructional design best practices and procedures to recommend and select the most effective training   methods and modalities to meet business needs.
  • Conducts train-the-trainer sessions on new training curricula,   techniques, or other program enhancements to ensure training methodology meets the ongoing needs of the organization and Membership.
  • Coaches and counsels team members on curriculum development skills.
  • Researches and recommends emerging trends in instructional design technology, products, and best practices.
  • Complete understanding and active application the C.A.R.E. 4 Guide expectations and the Brand Communications Standards Accountability   Philosophy.
  • Must be able and available to work a “hybrid” schedule, per business operations requirement, as needed.
  • Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Pay Scale: Min. $ 70,891.70 / $90,740.52 / $107,747.64* per year

*Actual compensation will be based on geographical location, work experience, education, and/or skill level.
