Position Overview:

The Senior Vice President, Value-Based Care Operations serves as a senior leader responsible for shaping, integrating, and advancing value-based care (VBC) market performance and operational excellence. This role unifies Navvis market and client teams on clinical/operational execution to drive results in client contract performance and population management. The SVP partners closely with the Market President, key client stakeholders, and enterprise clinical and operational leaders to drive measurable outcomes. As the leader accountable for both performance improvement and operational execution, the SVP ensures scalable, high-quality, data-driven workflows and supports multi-disciplinary teams in delivering best-in-class value-based care.


This role will be onsite in Madison or St. Louis multiple times per month. It is preferred to be located in Madison or St. Louis, or open to 75% or more travel.  


As a Senior Vice President, Value-Based Care Operations, you will:

  • In partnership with client leaders, translate the vision and strategy for value-based care performance across multiple regions and payer lines of business.
  • Partner with Market President to align market and enterprise priorities and translate strategic goals into operational and performance models.
  • Parter with client stakeholders and Navvis experts on integration and optimization of technology platforms. 
  • Oversee VBC performance across       , risk adjustment, and clinical quality, inclusive of the role of analytics insights. 
  • Partner with Navvis’ VP of Finance to assess and drive financial outcomes.
  • Cultivate a culture and capability of continuous improvement that drives continued maturity and      adaptation to changing circumstances.
  • Ensure performance goals for MSSP ACO, Medicare Advantage, Medicaid, Commercial, and other VBC agreements are achieved and continuously optimized.
  • Provide strategic direction to client and Navvis teams on data, technology and analytics execution and integration. 
  • Drive innovation and collaboration across Navvis teams and client partner teams.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop senior leaders, directors, managers, and operational teams.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, continuous learning, high performance, and top-of-license practice.

A Day in the Life:

  • Lead rapid-cycle performance improvement initiatives leveraging analytics and the population health platform.
  • Provide day-to-day leadership for leaders overseeing care management, care coordination, quality, practice optimization and population health initiatives.
  • Ensure high-performing workflows, documentation, care pathways, and productivity standards are established, updated, and adhered to.
  • Lead, support, and participate in regular rounding with performance teams. 
  • Support development and adherence to enterprise policies, procedures, and operational standards.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree preferred (MBA, MHA, MPH, or related clinical or business graduate degree)
  • 12-15+ years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare, with executive-level experience in value-based care strategy and population health management.
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and managing complex VBC contracts.
  • Strong leadership with ability to drive strategic and operational excellence.
  • Drive change and performance through collaboration and influence leadership.
  • Deep expertise in VBC models, population health, care coordination workflows, and healthcare economics.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to drive data-informed decisions.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
  • Strong business acumen and financial literacy.
