Build in Tulsa is also addressing some of the barriers that many economically disadvantaged entrepreneurs face by providing free coworking space, cost-of-living assistance, funding for technology, and other microgrants.

Position Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and forward-thinking Program Manager to lead the design, facilitation, and management of Build In Tulsa’s pre-accelerator programs. This individual will be responsible for crafting a comprehensive entrepreneurship curriculum with clear learning outcomes and practical toolkits that equip founders with essential skills in business model development, customer validation, go-to-market strategy, product road mapping, fundraising, and intellectual property. Leveraging startup methodology, lean startup principles, and proven best practices in founder education, the Program Manager will keep all content relevant and impactful.

As the lead facilitator and coach, the Program Manager will deliver an engaging, results-driven experience that fosters collaboration, connects participants to valuable networks, and drives measurable growth. Through strategic oversight, relationship-building, and impactful programming, this role will position Build In Tulsa’s entrepreneurs for long-term success.

This is a full-time, salaried role that requires full-time in-person attendance. The standard schedule is Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM CT, with occasional evening and weekend work as needed.


Program Management Duties and Responsibilities (45%):

  • Partner with the Director of Programming to design, deliver, and implement a well-structured and high-impact accelerator program for women.
  • Execute clear, constant, and rapid rapport with the programming director and staff to deliver a quality program for founders
  • Manage the program administration, operations, recruitment, selection, onboarding, cohort management, offboarding, and impact reporting for each cohort.
  • First-responder for the W.E. Build cohort needs, able to coach, counsel, and adapt to ensure cohort members can make the most of the accelerator programming
  • Follow a detailed and streamlined process to ensure effective program delivery and customer service.
  • Manage curriculum focused on business development for tech and CPG companies, SOP development, leadership development, financial literacy, marketing, accounting, and legal services. 
  • Recruit, interview, and select facilitators, mentors, and vendors for the W.E. Build program
  • Manage and supervise the W.E. Build EIR, keeping the Director of Programming informed of EIR performance.
  • Liaise with operations on processing founder and vendor payments
  • Manage the W.E. Build Founder Retreat and/or Conference
  • Recruit and schedule potential speakers and workshop leaders
  • Manage Founder Wellness days and mental health support booking services 
  • Coordinate program materials, including drafting briefs, recap reports, quarterly founder reports, handbooks, worksheets, and other collateral materials for Build in Tulsa programs.
  • Manage and track expenses for Build in Tulsa WE Build accelerator and other programming as assigned.
  • Cultivate and manage relationships with investors, grant-making institutions, corporate sponsors, and government agencies that fund women-led startups.


Data Management (15%)

  • Conduct pre- and post-program evaluation and follow-up in coordination with the Director of Programming, monitoring data collection, and summarizing key insights from program evaluation for Build in Tulsa leadership and team.
  • Manage data and CRM weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annually to provide comprehensive and up-to-date entrepreneur information, including tracking of notes, documents, milestones, and other important information.
  • Maintain detailed records and performance metrics on continuous cohort improvement.
  • Track programming development via Asana and keep the Build in Tulsa team abreast of developments.
  • Collect stories of impact from Build in Tulsa entrepreneurs and others in the Build in Tulsa network for use on the web, social, and e-newsletter.


Event Liaison (20%)

  • Liaise with Events & Activations on welcome dinners, reveals, demo days, and other special events
  • Assist in facility set-up and breakdown for programs and events
  • Project manage demo day on-site, ensuring needs are met for the event
  • Other duties as assigned.


Founder Support & Coaching (20%)

  • Partner with the Director of Programming, EIR, and Investor Relations Manager to develop company action plans
  • Act as a mentor and resource connector for founders, ensuring they receive the necessary guidance in business development.
  • Guide founders through sales, GTM, and lead generation challenges
  • Conduct and monitor weekly tracking of KPIs, dashboards, and the retrieval of data
  • Deliver support and quality customer service to maintain a positive rating of 4.5 or more on satisfaction surveys.
  • Guide founders through program learning outcomes and opportunities.


Requirements

Qualifications:

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • 3-5 years of venture acceleration programming experience
  • Experience leading a business accelerator, incubator, or venture acceleration highly preferred
  • Experience in sales, go-to-market strategies, or economic development is highly desirable
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly adept at personal and professional relationship management and can handle a crisis with a smile
  • Must be able to work some evenings and weekends
  • Experience with Microsoft, Google Docs, Asana, Slack, Eventbrite


Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 25lbs., for lifting supplies and materials, as needed
  • Position continually requires the ability to talk and hear both in person and over the phone, visual acuity; ability to operate equipment, read, and use a keyboard
  • Position requires sitting, or standing, and working with a computer for extended periods of time


Work Schedule and Location Requirements:

  • This position operates in-person full-time (40 hrs/wk), Monday-Friday, with the ability to occasionally work hours outside of 8a-5p for events.
  • Occasional need to utilize personal transportation, must have a valid driver’s license and auto insurance
