E&E Foods is launching a search for a Seasonal Welder at our Coffee Point plant in Egegik, AK. This job requires an experienced Welder that has multiple years of experience and possesses a great deal of creativity in creating solutions to solve mechanical and welding issues. Finally, the successful candidate will be a team player with the ability to handle deadline driven environments.

Requirements

   

The Welder must have previous refrigeration welding experience preferably in the fish processing industry. They must be self-directed, well organized and comfortable in a diverse living and working environment. In addition, they must be willing to work in a remote location under, at times, challenging conditions


Required Skills/Abilities:

• 3 years’ experience as a welder

• Have proficiency in TIG, MIG, Stick, and Gas welding of sheet metal, plate, and pipe in aluminum, stainless and carbon steels.

• Must have experience in pipe welding.

• Modify existing equipment, fabricate new chutes, conveyors, etc., and perform quality work under adverse field conditions

• Work autonomously under adverse field conditions

• Must be at least 18 years of age

• Must show availability to work in the USA

• Able to work with minimal supervision

• Able to take directions and respond to feedback

• Able to work in fast paced, deadline driven environment

• Must be able to stand, walk and work for 12+ hours, 7 days a week.

• General knowledge of mechanical field and skills (hydraulic, pneumatic, plumbing, fabricating, etc.)

• Experience with ammonia refrigeration systems

• EPA 608 certification recommended


Salary & Benefits:

• The starting wage is  $26.00 to $34.00 per hour.


THE WORK ENVIRONMENT is weather dependent: ranging from warm and sunny to cold, windy and wet. Working outdoors in a remote environment is not an experience for everyone, and candidates should understand their limitations. People who struggle with mobility should consider employment in another department or a different industry.

 

NATURE & HOURS OF WORK: T

Must be able to sustain a 12 hour per day/7 days a week work schedule for the duration of the season, approximately Early May through August at the Facility in Egegik, Alaska.

• The work environment is weather dependent: ranging from warm and sunny to cold, windy and wet. Working outdoors in a varying weather is a given in this position.


LIVING CONDITIONS: Our seafood processing facilities are a very remote part in Alaska. Housing – will have own room but shared bathroom facility. There are no health care options readily accessible. There is no cellphone signal and limited internet available. Communication is very limited.
