Harmony is hiring a Quality and EHS (Environmental Health and Safety) Administrative Assistant. This is an excellent opportunity to work within two departments focusing on implementation and documentation to maintain compliance with quality and safety regulations. You will play a crucial role in workplace safety programs, handling the essential day-to-day tasks that ensure these departments operate smoothly.

Requirements

What You Will Do:

Environment Health and Safety Responsibilities

  • Maintain and organize digital and physical files related to safety and compliance. 
  • Schedule and track employee safety training, certifications, toolbox talks, and other compliance documentation.
  • Coordinate new hire onboarding safety training sessions and annual refresher courses
  • Maintain OSHA injury logs and prepare timely reports for management and regulatory agencies
  • Assist with workplace incidents and investigations and prepare detailed reports
  • Monitor compliance with PPE requirements across multiple shifts
  • Assist with safety audits and prepare documentation for OSHA inspections
  • Manage inventory of safety supplies, including first aid kits, PPE, and emergency equipment
  • Support environmental compliance by monitoring waste disposal and maintaining required records

Quality Responsibilities

  • Maintain and organize digital and physical files to ensure compliance with customer certifications 
  • Complete daily testing of metal quality, mechanical properties, and other required NDT testing
  • Contribute to daily scrap and rework processing through data entry, defect photos, and daily reporting
  • Support document control associated with internal and external AS9100/ISO9001 audits
  • Assist in coordinating required QC training for operations and maintain accurate QC training records

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills that include strong communication, teamwork and active listening.  
  • Work independently by achieving goals with minimal supervision.
  • Strong problem solving skills using root cause analysis.
  • Ability to multitask and demonstrate excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Efficient and accurate data entry

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or higher (Occupational Health & Safety, Business Administration or related field) 
  • 1–2 years’ experience in manufacturing, safety, or a related field (preferred)
  • OSHA 10-Hour General Industry certification (preferred)
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety practices.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification (preferred)

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to navigate stairs and uneven surfaces in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time working at a computer 
  • Lift moderate weights
  • Walk for extended periods
  • Adhere to PPE standards
  • This position is based at our manufacturing facility which is an industrial environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, loud noise and vibration.
