This role within our Commercial Strategy practice is to direct complex client challenges. You've spent some of your career in pharmaceutical marketing, ideal for a marketing professional who is looking to leverage their experience to partner with our clients to identify insights, solve commercial challenges & seize market opportunities on the brand side, at an agency/ consulting firms, or both, and you know what it takes to move a brand forward in a highly regulated environment. 


You'll serve as a strategic leader supporting brand or omnichannel teams, build & execute market development plans and help marketing teams think innovatively around new ways of operating. You know how to partner with agencies, brief creative effectively, and help ensure all stakeholders stay focused on strategic imperatives. You stay close to the evolving landscape and can translate emerging trends into practical implications for pharma marketers. 


You can structure a problem, think in frameworks, and turn complex thinking into polished, persuasive deliverables: a crisp business case, a brand strategy narrative, an executive-ready recommendation. You'll cultivate lasting client relationships built on trust, accountability, delivery and candor, recognize opportunities to grow those relationships organically, and contribute to the health of the practice through the doors that open from delivering high-quality work consistently. 


You'll also invest in the people around you. This is a role for someone who genuinely wants to teach and finds energy in helping junior consultants sharpen their thinking. You'll help shape how we build capabilities as a practice and contribute to where our Strategy & Marketing team is headed. 


We're looking for someone in a growth chapter: still hungry to do great work, eager to build client equity, and excited about developing the next generation of talent. If you're looking to manage from a distance, this isn't it. If you want to lead, do, coach, and grow, it might be exactly right. 

What you bring: at least 10 years of professional experience, with a minimum of 5 years in pharma marketing, brand management, or consulting, agency/communications roles. You don't need to be taught how pharmaceutical marketing works. You're here to  show how it can be done. 

Our Directors are client-facing strategic leaders who partner with biopharma brand and marketing leadership to shape strategy, drive execution, and elevate brand performance. They lead high-impact engagements, delivering insights that strengthen client relationships and commercial outcomes.   Across diverse therapeutic areas and product lifecycles, Directors bring  industry expertise and adaptability, advancing brand strategy, commercialization, and cross-functional leadership. 

Responsibilities may include: 

  • Lead client engagement with biopharma brand and marketing stakeholders, independently driving strategic presentations, project plans, and executive-ready updates 
  • Own development of high-impact deliverables, including brand strategy, commercial launch plans, market landscapes, and business cases 
  • Direct end-to-end project execution, setting workstreams, aligning stakeholders, and leading teams to deliver against objectives 
  • Independently translate data and market research into actionable brand and commercialization insights (e.g., forecasting, segmentation, sample strategy) 
  • Proactively identify and shape new business opportunities within existing and prospective client accounts 
  • Build upon expertise in therapeutic areas and pharmaceutical marketing to drive client impact and thought leadership 
  • Own delivery against scope, timelines, and commercial objectives, ensuring high-quality, on-time execution

Education, Experience

 

Requirements 

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced life science degree preferred 
  • At least 5 years relevant experience (preference from consulting, Manager/Sr. Manager level brand leads, Account service directors from agency or consulting settings. 
  • Project management (including spreadsheet and database management, agile project management methodologies) 
  • Quantitative analysis and visualization (including Excel, Google Sheets, SAS, Stata); program management 
  • Contract development 
  • Industry compliance & risk management 
  • Budget development, budget management, and forecasting 
  • Customer relationship management 
  • Stakeholder analysis and stakeholder engagement 
  • Policy and procedure development; 
  • Process optimization and process improvement 
  • Measurement, goal-setting and KPIs 
  • Understanding of integrated activities including but not limited to digital health & omnichannel 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Self-motivated, highly detail-oriented, and extremely well organized 
  • Candidates should have desire for an engaging, fast-paced career in dynamic, growing organization 
  • Ability to manage one or more projects simultaneously 

Additional Information: Frequent travel (>25%) to client locations, industry events, as well as team in-person working sessions is required.
