Programming Tech I
Description

HP Tuners LLC is a global leader in the automotive aftermarket, developing software and hardware for vehicle calibration. We are growing rapidly and are looking to add a Programming Tech I to our team.


This position reports to the Production Manager. This position is a Monday through Friday onsite role from 8am to 4pm.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities


· Utilizes computer programs to implement software upgrades to controllers.

· Collaborates with department heads, managers, and other stakeholders to communicate barriers in the upgrade process that may impact that ability to complete the service or impact the target delivery date.

· Monitors and manages their own work queue using a ticketing system and follow established workflow standards/rules. Experience with Freshdesk is a plus.

· Open and re-assemble/re-seal hardware without mutilating or damaging the hardware.

· Inspect hardware for damage or other defined criteria prior to performing work.

· Troubleshoot common errors within the software upgrade process.

· Communicate work statuses within the Programming team to keep an optimal workflow.

· Identify bottlenecks in the processes and communicate potential improvements to the department manager.

· Keep an organized workspace.

· Maintain informational log of services performed to allow data extrapolation.

· Provides training to other Technicians or HP Tuners personnel as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications


· Basic computer skills required (file path navigation, file organization and management, multiple display and window utilization).

· Excellent written communication skills required.

· Ability to follow and maintain IP sensitive protocols.

· Organizational skills and attention to detail.


Physical Requirements


· Working Conditions: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to reach and carry items from one area to another, complete all work in a climate controlled and ESD friendly environment, and safely work around and utilize job-supporting equipment (soldering irons, toaster ovens, clamps, vices, pry tools, etc).

Compensation and Benefits


At HP Tuners LLC, we understand that compensation plays a key role when considering a new opportunity. We are dedicated to ensuring fair pay for all employees and continually work towards greater transparency in our compensation practices. The estimated base range for this position is $19.50-20.00 per hour, with actual pay determined including factors such as location, skills, experience, and other relevant considerations. This position also qualifies for a discretionary bonus and a complete benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability coverage, paid time off (PTO), and a 401(k) program with employer matching.
