Description
The Community Integrated Services (CIS) Driver-Aide is responsible for providing safe transportation to clients and staff for community-based activities while supporting client supervision, instruction, and documentation. This role ensures client safety, compliance with transportation procedures, and a positive, structured learning environment in the community.
- Safely transport clients and staff to and from community outings and activities
- Follow all transportation procedures, including:
- Pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Completion of travel logs and required documentation
- Vehicle sanitization and maintenance requests
- Assist with client instruction and support, as assigned
- Assist with the implementation of client training programs
- Observe clients and complete required documentation and reports
- Assist with client arrival and departure procedures, including attendance and health checks
- Report unusual incidents or concerns to the Service Team Coordinator (STC)
- Provide input regarding program improvements to the Program Assistant or Program Manager
- Support scheduling needs as requested
- Maintain a safe, structured, and orderly learning environment
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements
Minimum Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Valid California Driver’s License
- Must qualify for coverage under EXCEED insurance
- Department of Justice fingerprint clearance
- Health screening and TB clearance within 7 days of employment
- CPR Certification within 45 days of employment
- High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred Experience
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or in a related human services field
- Ability to role-model socially appropriate behavior and attitudes for clients
