Description
The Community Integrated Services (CIS) Aide supports clients through supervision, instruction, and documentation both on-site and in community settings. This position assists with the implementation of training programs, ensures client safety, and helps maintain a structured and supportive learning environment.
- Assist with client instruction and skill development, as assigned
- Support the implementation of individualized training programs
- Observe client behavior and progress and complete required documentation
- Assist with client arrival and departure procedures, including attendance and health checks
- Report unusual incidents or concerns to the Service Team Coordinator (STC)
- Provide input regarding program improvements to the Program Assistant or Program Manager
- Assist with scheduling needs, as requested
- Maintain a safe, orderly, and supportive teaching environment
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements
Minimum Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Department of Justice fingerprint clearance
- Health screening and TB clearance within 7 days of employment
- Valid California Driver’s License or California Identification Card
- CPR Certification within 45 days of employment
- High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred Experience
- Experience in a related discipline or working with individuals with disabilities
- Ability to role-model socially appropriate behavior and attitudes
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods during the workday
- Ability to climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl to support training activities or retrieve materials
- Good hearing and vision to monitor client activities and ensure safety
- Good general health and mobility
- Ability to lift at least 10 pounds
- Ability to speak clearly and be easily understood
- Physical stamina to work up to 5 hours per day, Monday through Friday
Mental & Cognitive Requirements
- Ability to understand and translate training activities
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Basic math skills to complete client records and reports
- Writing skills to complete reports and client ID notes
- Strong observation skills
- Flexibility to manage multiple tasks
- Sound judgment related to training, service quality, and safety
