Engineering Manager
Description

ICM Solutions is seeking an Engineering Manager to join our growing team in Murray, UT. This is a new position leading our engineering function within the crushing and mining segments of our business. This role is critical to ensuring our equipment, systems, and processes support safe, reliable, and efficient production across multiple sites. The Engineering Manager will manage our multi-location engineering team, collaborate closely with operations and service, and drive continuous improvement across our crushing plants, material handling systems, and related equipment. The ideal candidate will be a technical leader who enjoys rolling up their sleeves, developing people, and advancing engineering capabilities within a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment.

  

This is not a remote position — you must be available to work in the office Monday through Friday.


Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers.
  • Set clear goals, manage workload, and prioritize engineering projects.
  • Foster a culture of safety, quality, innovation, and accountability.
  • Partner with the Director of Business Process to develop engineering strategy and annual plans.

Engineering & Technical Oversight

  • Provide engineering oversight for crushing, screening, conveying, and material handling systems.
  • Lead design, specification, and optimization of plant layouts, equipment, and process flows.
  • Ensure engineering documentation, drawings, and calculations meet quality and regulatory standards.

Operations Support

  • Troubleshoot equipment failures, bottlenecks, and process inefficiencies.
  • Support reliability initiatives, root cause analysis, and corrective action planning.
  • Develop and maintain standards for equipment performance, maintenance practices, and engineering procedures.

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify and implement improvements in plant throughput, reliability, energy efficiency, and safety.
  • Evaluate new technologies, automation, and equipment upgrades.
  • Drive standardization across branches and engineering practices.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Mining, Industrial, or related Engineering field.
  • 7+ years of engineering experience in heavy industrial, aggregates, mining, or crushing operations.
  • 2+ years in a leadership, supervisory, or project management role.
  • Strong knowledge of crushing circuits, screening, conveyors, pumps, material flow, and industrial equipment.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead engineering projects and manage cross functional initiatives.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across operations, maintenance, and leadership teams.

Preferred:

  • Experience in a small to mid size company or entrepreneurial environment.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar design software.
