Job Title: Marketing Intern

Job Description Summary: Harper Industries, Inc. is seeking a driven summer Marketing Intern to gain real-world experience supporting a busy marketing team. This seasonal role is perfect for a student who wants to build skills in event coordination, marketing support, and brand presentation. You’ll help bring events to life through behind-the-scenes prep, organization, and teamwork while learning what it takes to represent a trusted manufacturing brand in the field.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Event Coordination & Support
o Assist with planning and preparing for trade shows, dealer events, and other marketing activities
o Help coordinate event materials including banners, handouts, giveaways, signage, and product displays
o Support packing, organizing, and staging materials prior to events
o Assist with on-site event setup, basic booth organization, and tear-down as needed
o Help track inventory of event supplies and support restocking efforts
Marketing Support
o Assist with light content development for social media, email, or internal communications
o Help update or organize marketing files, photos, and promotional materials
o Support the team with simple creative projects such as flyers, signage, presentations, or event handouts
o Assist with gathering photos, notes, or follow-up details after events
Collaboration
o Work closely with the marketing team and internal departments to ensure event needs are met
o Coordinate with vendors (printing, promotional items, etc.) as directed by the team
Qualifications/Requirements:
· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
· Comfortable working on a team and taking direction
· Clear communication skills (written and verbal)
· Willingness to help with hands-on tasks and event prep
· Basic familiarity with design tools (Canva or Adobe is a plus, but not required)
· Dependable and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Education and Experience:
· Current student pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, or a related field
· Prior internship, event, or customer service experience is a plus (not required)
Schedule/Salary
· Forty-hour per week summer internship (weekday hours)
· Seasonal position (May 2026 to August 2026) not eligible for health or paid time off benefits
· Occasional after-hours or weekend work may be required during event weeks
Physical Requirements
· Ability to assist with event setup tasks including standing, walking, lifting, and carrying materials
· May occasionally require lifting items (occasionally up to 45 lbs.)
