Description

The Senior Marketing & Business Development Coordinator is a key contributor within the Marketing & Business Development team, working closely with team leadership, attorneys, and professional staff to execute business development, marketing, communications, and event initiatives.


The Senior Coordinator is a hands-on, service-oriented professional who helps translate Marketing Department priorities into high-quality deliverables, including marketing content, events, research, and reporting. The ideal candidate is a critical thinker, proactive, detail-oriented, collaborative, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced professional services environment. 


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


Client Events, Sponsorships & Hospitality

  • Support the planning and execution of client-facing, pro bono, and internal events, seminars, webinars, sponsorships, and internal programs.
  • Coordinate logistics including researching and selecting venues; managing vendor relationships; drafting error-free invitations; managing registration; organizing supporting materials including name tags, signage, handouts, and PPTs; shipping; and day-of support.
  • Assist with tracking, recording, and reporting on event attendance, engagement, and return on investment.
  • Maintain event calendars on the firm website and internal intranet. 
  • Support firm-wide hospitality needs as required.

Marketing Content, Communications & Profile-Raising

  • Edit and maintain marketing collateral, including website content, advertisements, attorney biographies, pitch materials, brochures, presentations, and client communications, adhering to firm brand standards.
  • Coordinate internal and external communications, including newsletters, event promotions, and other updates.
  • Support thought leadership, speaking engagements, and social media content in collaboration with Senior Communications Manager.  

Business Development & Practice Support

  • Support the tracking and monitoring of firm clients and prospects.
  • Assist with formatting and proofreading pitches and proposals.
  • Develop background documents to prepare attorneys for client and prospective client engagement.

Research, Data & Reporting

  • Provide support to the Marketing Technology Manager with CRM and marketing databases, including contact management and data integrity.
  • Produce attendee lists, reports, dashboards, and metrics related to proposals, events, and campaigns.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage technology, including CRM tools and AI-enabled solutions, to improve efficiency.

Administrative & Project Support

  • Provide project and administrative support to Marketing & Business Development leadership, including scheduling, meeting preparation, and material development.
  • Coordinate firm-wide attorney photo processes, including scheduling shoots with attorneys and outside vendor, overseeing appointments, selecting photos and obtaining art files, and ensuring attorney satisfaction with the process and final product.
  • Serve as the point person for the firm’s inventory of promotional items (swag), including determining needs, selecting items, identifying and vetting vendors, providing reviews, and maintaining inventory.
  • Field and fulfill requests for new business cards.
  • Process and track marketing expenses.
  • Support departmental initiatives and special projects as assigned.

Language Skills:

Ability to read and comprehend   complex instructions, correspondence, research materials, and memos. Ability   to write high quality correspondence and material suitable for publication.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from   groups of managers, clients, firm personnel, and the general public.

 

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and   interpret bar graphs.

 

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized   situations.

FLSA Status

This is a Non-Exempt position under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) guidelines. Standard Full-Time Work Hours: Monday through Friday, 9:00am to 5:30pm, with occasional overtime hours as needed to meet job requirements.  


Compensation:

In accordance with applicable pay transparency laws, the base salary range for this position is $70,000 to $85,000 annually. The range provided is the salary that Zuckerman Spaeder LLP in good faith believes at the time of this posting that it is willing to pay for the advertised position. The exact compensation will be determined based on individual candidate experience, qualifications, and location.   • Willingness to work outside standard business hours as needed to support events and deadlines. Ability to travel periodically.

Education and/or Experience: 

Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year accredited college or university required (degree in English, communications, marketing, and/or business preferred).   

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in marketing, business development, events, or related roles within a law firm or professional services environment.
  • Experience supporting client events strongly preferred.
  • Project management, event planning, or hospitality experience is a plus.
