QUALIFICATIONS


  • Experience in troubleshooting, maintenance and repair of Commercial HVAC systems
  • Pumps, fans, and cooling towers, duct sizing and design installation 
  • EPA certification for handling refrigerants
  • Knowledge and experience in preventive maintenance of HVAC systems
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • As an HVAC JOURNEYMAN, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems
  • Perform routine maintenance on existing systems to ensure optimal performance
  • Diagnose and repair HVAC system issues
  • Test HVAC systems to ensure they are functioning correctly
  • Provide excellent customer service and address inquiries and concerns
  • Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed
  •  Responsible for monitoring, servicing and repairing all ice makers, walk-in coolers, and freezers, beer 
  • chillers, yogurt machines and all refrigerators.
  •  Maintains working conditions of restaurant equipment including fryers, dishwashers, stoves and food 
  • mixers and buffet line equipment.
  • Monitors temperature controls in Casino and Hotel and makes adjustments to tabs and thermostats on 
  • heating and air conditioning equipment to keep guests comfortable.
  • Responsible for ordering parts, receiving and stocking parts and maintaining parts inventory.
  •  Designs and installs refrigeration and heating and air conditioning equipment.
  • Designs and installs ducting, grills, controls for changes, and new additions to heating and air-conditioning systems.
  • Maintains Pressure Washers and Electronic Air Filters.
  •  Performs other non-gaming duties as assigned.



GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must have a minimum of FIVE (5) years experience.  
  • Must obtain a State or Federal license or certification in respective areas or responsibility.   
  • Prior supervisory experience preferred.   
  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.  
  • Must provide own hand tools.    
  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.  
  • Must be able to get along well with co-workers and work as a team.  
  • Must be able to work any day of the week and any shift.  
  • Must present a well-groomed appearance              

                                       

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Performs preventive maintenance and repair duties on all building mechanical systems, equipment and tools.   
  • Knowledge of the operation and repair of energy management equipment.  
  • Knowledge of the operation of life safety systems, and maintenance and repair in public areas and guest rooms.    
  • Supervises and motivates employees in respective areas and guest rooms.    
  • Works with Facilities Managers in coordinating projects and scheduling work.  
  • Takes a leadership role in reporting and correcting unsafe work practices or unsafe facility conditions. 
  • Must be able to meet the attendance guidelines of the job and adhere to departmental and company policies.

PHYSICAL & MENTAL:

  • Must possess coordination and dexterity to work with power and hand tools such as drills, electric saws, hammers, sewer snakes, etc.  
  • Respond to visual and aural cues.    
  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.  
  • Must be able to stoop, bend, jump and carry heavy loads.  
  • Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds.  
  • Must be able to think clearly and respond calmly in situations.  
  • Must be able to learn and retain locations, operation and repair procedures of this property's mechanical systems, equipment and life safety system.  
  • Must be able to effectively motivate and supervise employees in their respective areas.  


WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Must be capable of maneuvering for prolonged periods of time, both inside and outside sometimes in temperatures in excess of 115 degrees or cold temperatures below 10 degrees.   
  • Able to maneuver on level surfaces, as well as up and down stairs.
