EOA Technologies is seeking a Software Engineer with AWS experience on one of our subcontracts. This is a full-time position offering the opportunity to support a U.S. Government customer. You will be responsible for:
- Develop or implement algorithms to meet system performance and functional standards.
- Assist with developing and executing test procedures for software components.
- Write software and system documentation.
- Develop software solutions by analyzing system performance standards; confer with users/systems engineers; analyze system flow and work processes; investigate problem areas.
- Develop and modify software systems using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequences of design.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Develop, enhance, maintain complex and diverse software systems with potential to oversee software peers to ensure work is completed on time and in accordance with requirements/constraints.
- Work as part of an extended team to define and design systems to meet information protection needs and continually assess systems effectiveness in defense of emerging threats.
- Confer with mission customers and Systems Engineers to derive software requirements, obtain information on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements and interfaces.
- Create software interfaces and dashboards. Develop and modify software systems.
- Implement recommendations for improving documentation and software development process standards.
- Recommend new technologies and processes for complex software projects.
- Collaborate in agile scrum cycles, contributing to design sessions, conducting peer reviews, and providing support for testing and documentation
To be considered for this position you must have the following:
- Possess an active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance
- Must have a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or related field.
- 7 to 10 years of experience as a Software Engineer with deep understanding of high performance ingest and data transformation. Four (4) years of additional SWE experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's Degree for a total of 11 years' experience.
- 3+ years of hands-on AWS experience in a production environment, not limited to development-only usage.
- Demonstrated experience administering AWS environments, including:
- Experience deploying and operating applications using AWS managed services (ECS, Fargate, Lambda, RDS, DynamoDB, S3)
- Experience migrating workloads from containerized or on-prem environments to AWS
- Proficiency with Linux OS, Python, SQL and relational databases, JavaScript, Elastic Search, Dagster, Docker.
- Experience working within an IC Agency mission environment using tools and capabilities to generate threat intelligence. This includes working with analyst teams to perform data analysis.
- Experience implementing best practices for knowledge management and applying techniques to create automated solutions in support of the IC mission.
- Experience with Agile methodologies
