Position: Brewer

Department: Brewing, Mill Creek Brewery, Pottsville, PA 

Reports To: Brewing Working Lead

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 2:00pm to 10:00pm

We are looking for a Brewer position based in Pottsville, PA at our Mill Creek Brewery.  This role will be responsible for meeting all job responsibilities, performance standards, and operational goals safely and efficiently, as directed by the Brewing Manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

· Brewing, Fermenting, Aging, and Filtration of Beer

· Assisting with QA Checks

· In place cleaning and sanitizing hoses, vessels, and equipment

· Working independently without supervision to accomplish shift work

· Communicating with all Operations Department Personnel

· Must be willing to work overtime as needed based on production schedule

· Must perform other duties as assigned by management/supervisor

Physical Demands:

· Ability to lift 50 pounds

· Ability to use a forklift to unload trucks of brewing materials

· Ability to work at elevated heights: top of fermenters, rail cars, silos

· Ability to unload railcars of bulk brewing materials

· Ability to work in both warm and cold environments

Required Education and/or Experience:

· High School diploma or equivalent statement can be added for education level

· Proficiency with computer skills and data entry

· Experience in manufacturing environment is not necessary but preferred

· Experience with hands on work and mechanical aptitude is preferred
