Doubletree by Hilton Augusta is seeking a dependable, professional, and guest-focused Front Desk/Night Audit Agent to join our team. This position serves as a primary point of contact for guests during the evening and overnight hours and plays an important role in maintaining a welcoming, secure, and efficient hotel environment.
The Front Desk/Night Audit Agent is responsible for greeting and assisting guests, completing check-ins and check-outs, processing payments, answering telephone calls, resolving guest concerns, and responding to requests in a timely and professional manner. During the overnight shift, this role will also complete the hotel’s daily financial audit, reconcile transactions, prepare reports, and ensure all accounts and system information are accurate before the start of the next business day.
The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, comfortable working independently, and able to remain calm and professional when handling guest concerns or unexpected situations. This position is well suited for someone who enjoys delivering exceptional service while balancing front desk responsibilities with accurate financial and administrative tasks.
- Register and assign rooms to guests.
- Issue room key and escort instructions to Guest Service Agent or directly to guest.
- Sort, and track incoming mail and messages.
- Transmit and receive messages using all communication avenues.
- Answer inquiries pertaining to hotel services, registration of guests, and shopping, dining, entertainment, and travel directions.
- Keep record of room availability and rate.
- Compute bill, collect payment, and make change for guests.
- Make, confirm, and cancel reservations via all communication avenues.
- Post charges such as room, food, liquor, or telephone to guest bill if interface is inoperable.
- Make reservation, transportation, or entertainment reservations for guest.
- Deposit guest valuables in hotel safe deposit box.
- Ability to accurately use various office software.
- Have a full working knowledge and expertise of each shift including night audit.
- Must have a comprehensive knowledge of all hotel departments and functions.
- Must have good mathematical and computer skills.
- High school education required. Relevant training and experience and additional education preferred.
- CPR and first aid training preferred.
- Additional language ability preferred.
