Prevailance is seeking a senior-level Principal Analyst to support Navy aviation transition planning and Master Aviation Plan (MAP) development. This role provides analytical, planning, and advisory support across aircraft transitions, platform introductions, community sundowns, manpower planning, and budget alignment. The ideal candidate brings deep Navy aviation domain expertise, strong analytic rigor, and the ability to brief and advise senior and flag-level leadership. Travel may be required.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Provide analytical recommendations supporting the CNAF MAP, including manpower, manning, maintenance, and materiel impacts
- Review, analyze, and recommend requirements for the introduction of new aviation platforms and transition of communities from legacy to next-generation aircraft, including community sundowning
- Analyze costs associated with MAP execution and related transition activities
- Identify and assess outstanding transition requirements for aviation communities transitioning to new aircraft or sunsetting platforms
- Develop data-driven recommendations to identify manpower, manning, and phasing requirements at the squadron, wing, and carrier levels to support MAP execution
- Draft MAP planning documentation in support of the annual MAP Conference
- Analyze MAP, transition, and sundown requirements and assess implications for manpower, manning, and PPBE planning and programming
- Develop and present MAP analytical products and briefings to senior leadership
- Provide updates and analytical input supporting CNAL/CNAP Safe for Flight (SFF) instructions
- Analyze MAP changes and provide recommendations to the OPNAV N51 Strategic Laydown and Dispersal (SLD) process during the Design Phase
- Participate in SLD Assessment Phase working groups and provide recommendations on shore installation requirements supporting MAP execution
Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizenship required
- Minimum of 10 years of experience supporting studies, analyses, surveys, and reporting for organizational or enterprise-level business improvement initiatives
- Experience in systems design analysis, functional requirements analysis, and implementation or transition planning for government or commercial systems and processes
- Strong, practical experience with:
- Navy aviation squadrons and air wings
- Aviation maintenance and aircraft carrier operations
- Aircraft introduction, transition, and community sundown processes
- CNAF MAP development and execution
- Manpower planning and transition budget PPBE processes
Required Traits:
- Demonstrated ability to perform complex, cross-functional analysis and develop enterprise-level solutions
- Experience, maturity, and presence to deliver flag-level briefings and senior leadership engagements
- Proven ability to lead analytically, set vision, define processes, and support major programs at the enterprise level
- Strong communication skills and a customer-focused mindset
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, engineering, science, mathematics, or a related field
- Advanced degree in a related discipline preferred
Clearance:
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance
