CM&B is seeking a motivated Assistant Project Superintendent to join our field operations team and play a key role in delivering high-quality, high-impact projects across the region.

As an Assistant Project Superintendent, you’ll work alongside experienced leaders—most directly with our Senior Vice President/Operations Manager, Steve Malenchini—to gain hands-on experience in every phase of construction, from site mobilization to project completion and facility turnover. This role is designed for individuals who are eager to learn, ready to tackle new challenges, and committed to operational excellence.

What You’ll Do

Field Operations

• Work as an essential member of CM&B’s field staff, helping execute daily site operations.
• Support the Project Superintendent in leading and coordinating project subcontractors.
• Learn to evaluate subcontractor scopes, monitor performance, and ensure quality work on site.
• Understand and interpret building codes, design documents, and construction plans.
• Participate in pre-activity conferences and weekly construction meetings.
• Assist with monitoring project expenditures and risk exposure.
• Partner with the Project Manager to understand and manage field-related project costs.
• Learn and uphold the “rules of engagement” when working with organized labor.

Safety & Risk Management

• Gain a solid understanding of OSHA construction standards and CM&B’s safety protocols.
• Assist with implementing our site safety program and ensuring compliance at all times.
• Help identify, evaluate, and mitigate field-related project risks.

Planning & Scheduling

• Collaborate with the Project Superintendent to understand project schedules—from high-level timelines to detailed short-interval planning.
• Support operational excellence by proactively identifying pre-punch and punch list items to ensure a strong, successful project closeout.
