Job Title: Technical Product Manager

Department: Product Management

Supervises: N/A

Compensation: $100k-$120k Annually, depending on location, experience, knowledge, and skillset; Salary, Exempt Status


This position is fully remote and can be performed anywhere within the United States. 


SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

VivoAquatics is on a mission to revolutionize how companies manage their recreational & commercial

water. We are actively seeking a Technical Product Manager to lead product development activities for

our SaaS platform, VivoPoint.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  1. Coordinate with stakeholders on new feature requests, requirements gathering, new product development and the product roadmap
  2. Manage and prioritize the product backlog ensuring roadmap deliverables are met
  3. Write stories with excellent (testable) acceptance criteria
  4. Approve builds by working with QA and reviewing test plans and results
  5. Represent the voice of the customer to the scrum team
  6. Act as a subject matter expert in customer discussions and demo product features
  7. Use JIRA to create epics, user stories, enter and manage defects and bugs, create epics and UAT test steps
  8. Work with technical design to design storyboards, negotiate scope iterations, obtain stakeholder feedback, and obtain approval and launch dates
  9. Make data-driven decisions to identify business requirements, functional design, process design (scenario design, user journey, flow mapping, etc.) as well as prototyping, testing, training, and defining support procedures
  10. Support the following processes: product lifecycle management, ideation management, product planning, quality management, test automation, integration and build automation, continuous integration and deployment, issue and problem management, application and infrastructure measurement and monitoring, integration with business systems, information security, and cloud orchestration.
  11. Perform other job-related duties as needed
Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Proven ability to translate ideas and vision into product definition and requirements (define and clearly document product scope)
  • Expert use of analysis, documentation, and presentation tools, such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, JIRA, etc.
  • Must have a strong customer focus, ownership, urgency, and drive
  • Strong analytical and fact-based decision-making skills
  • Exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills, proven ability to handle multiple tasks
  • Strong written communication and presentation skills needed
  • Ability to prepare concise presentations suitable for consumption by senior leadership
  • Extensive cross-functional team participation and experience
  • Ability to operate and execute autonomously

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • N/A

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE 

  • 5 + years’ experience as Technical Product Manager or Business Analyst ideally in a B2B SaaS environment
  • 5+ years of experience in managing moderate to high-complexity Agile product development
  • Experience with managing projects through a software development lifecycle 
  • Direct experience with mobile and web product development
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technology-focused field preferred
