Walpole Outdoors is seeking a driven, relationship-focused Business Development Manager – Southeast to accelerate growth across our B2B channels. This role is responsible for expanding our Design-Build, Specifier, and Commercial partner network while generating new revenue through both existing relationships and untapped accounts.
The territory for this role covers Central and South Florida
The ideal candidate brings a strong hunter mentality, deep industry knowledge, and the ability to operate comfortably from job site to boardroom. This is a high-impact, autonomous role with meaningful influence on Walpole’s long-term growth strategy.
- Drive new sales growth across the Southeast territory to achieve a $6M annualized revenue run rate by 2028
- Expand Walpole’s Design-Build, Specifier, and Commercial partner network by communicating our differentiated portfolio of products, services, and installation capabilities
- Partner with leadership to develop and execute a 3-year business plan for the territory
- Identify, build, and maintain relationships with architects, specifiers, general contractors, property managers, and landscape professionals
- Develop new B2B relationships with customers who have not previously partnered with Walpole
- Serve as a trusted advisor using a consultative, solutions-oriented sales approach
- Manage pipeline activity, forecasting, and reporting using Salesforce.com
- Collaborate cross-functionally to maximize the effectiveness of Walpole’s B2B channel
- Become a subject-matter expert in Walpole’s products, services, systems, and installation capabilities
- Represent Walpole Outdoors at customer meetings, industry events, and trade shows
- Track and report wins, losses, challenges, and opportunities within the territory
- Act as the face of Walpole post-contract, supporting operations teams to ensure successful execution
Skills and Qualifications
Required:
· 8+ years of experience in exterior building products or landscape industry
· Proven success in B2B commercial sales with a strong hunter mentality
· Consultative, relationship-driven sales approach
· Comfortable operating from job site to executive level
· Strong communication, presentation, and CRM (Salesforce) skills
· Ability to travel 75–80% within the Southeast territory
· Must reside within the assigned territory
Preferred:
· Experience managing a $10M–$20M book of business
· Bachelor’s degree
