JOB SUMMARY
The Elementary teacher plays a vital role in fulfilling the school’s mission to glorify God by preparing minds in a Biblically centered environment and transforming hearts through mentoring students toward Christ-likeness. This position involves designing and delivering effective, standards-based instruction, integrating biblical truth into all subject areas, and fostering a classroom culture that supports both academic growth and spiritual development.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work with students ages 9–12, specializing in the development of reading comprehension and critical thinking skills.
- Plan effective daily lesson plans and meet monthly and yearly growth plan objectives which will include contact with supervisor and mentor teacher.
- Follow and implement school-approved curriculum guidelines for all lessons plans according to standards using research-based practices through differentiated instruction.
- Integrate the Word of God into each subject by developing biblically supported “Enduring Understandings” for each subject.
- Use research-supported instructional strategies including data informed decision making to connect with student learning styles and needs through differentiation and student goal setting for growth.
- Maintain accurate grading records, produce timely progress reports and lead meaningful conferences with parents.
- Communicate with parents regarding academic and social progress of students.
- Support the implementation of the student handbook.
- Attend all faculty meetings, devotions, and other events and meetings as deemed necessary by the immediate supervisor.
- Participate in professional in-service opportunities and implement research-based practices with competency.
- Abide by the regulations and policies set forth in the Faculty Handbook and any additions made during the school year by the administration.
- Set an example of biblical purity in all relationships with colleagues, students, and parents by modeling only professional and appropriate contact/communication with all.
- Demonstrate a commitment to resolving conflicts respectfully and directly as set out in Matthew 18.
- Exhibit professional representation to all school constituencies.
- Perform supervisory duties as assigned by the administration.
- Attend events as deemed necessary by the Head of Schools/Elementary Principal.
- Support the mission of the school as an ambassador of goodwill.
- Punctually fulfill all assigned duties and responsibilities.
- Other duties as assigned.
Compensation: The 2026-27 salary range is $36,100-74,575 per school year and is based on education and years of experience. Prorated for less than 1.0 FTE.
Schedule: Academic school year, Monday-Friday (7:30am-3:30pm)

Time Off: Paid time off under the One Leave program (5 days for personal or sick).
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education or equivalent.
- Washington State Teaching Certificate with appropriate endorsement.
- Commitment to modeling Christ-like character and an active member of a local bible believing Church.
Preferred:
- Previous teaching experience with elementary-aged students.
- Prior work experience within Christian education.
Other:
- Ability to sit, stand, and move around the classroom and school campus throughout the workday.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must pass a Washington State Patrol and National background check.
