POSITION SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the Director of Hospitality Services, the Laundry Attendant maintains supplies needed by Hospitality staff to refresh rooms, cottages, public spaces, and staff areas.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Daily launders all terry, bedspreads, blankets, bed pads, and shower curtains upon their arrival.
- Removes stains; checks condition of all items being sent for use by guests and staff.
- Wraps and keeps laundry items clean.
- Launders CSU and kitchen linens as needed.
- Keeps Housekeeping area clean, including restroom and guest laundry.
- Keeps supply shelves stocked with housekeeping supplies and linens.
- Logs supplies that need to be restocked and communicates with Director of Hospitality.
- Assists Hospitality staff with their routes, as needed.
- Assists staff in getting their cleaning supplies, trash bags, laundry, etc.
- Maintains cottage supply closet in housekeeping, ensures it is clean and stocked appropriately.
- Prepares cottage set-ups made up and ready when needed.
- Tracks inventory of laundry chemicals; reports problems with laundry machines.
- Performs other duties, as requested.
- As a 24-hour operation, all staff may be asked to work weekends, evenings, night shifts and/or holidays in order to serve our members, guests, and program participants.
· High school degree or equivalent required.
· A valid driver’s license is required.
· Prior experience in housekeeping a plus.
· Ability to interpret oral and written informational data is required.
· Must be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with diverse groups of people representing all social and economic segments of the community.
· Excellent customer service skills and the ability to enforce rules in a professional and positive manner is a must.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: This position requires the ability to walk, pull, push, bend, or stand for prolonged periods of time. Other physical requirements include the ability to lift to 50 pounds.
