Heartline Staffing is seeking an experienced Travel Registered Nurse for an Ortho Med Surg assignment in Pocatello, Idaho.
This role supports an orthopedic and medical-surgical unit focused on post-operative trauma and total joint replacement patients. The ideal candidate is comfortable managing post-op patients in a fast-paced inpatient setting.
Compensation:
36 Hours: Gross $1,950/week | W2 $22/hr | Stipend $1,246/week
48 Hours: Gross $2,390/week | W2 $22/hr | Stipend $1,246/week
Schedule:
• Night shift, 4x12
• Hours: 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• 36 or 48-hour options available
• 13-week assignment
Unit Details:
• Ortho Med Surg unit
• Adult orthopedic and medical-surgical population
• Post-op orthopedic trauma and total joint replacements
• 10-bed unit
• Average daily census: 10
• Patient ratio 1:5
Responsibilities:
• Provide care for orthopedic, medical-surgical, post-op trauma, and total joint patients
• Administer medications including insulin, heparin, and PCA
• Provide IV therapy and blood product administration
• Manage surgical drains and post-operative care needs
• Provide respiratory support as appropriate
• Participate in rapid response and emergency situations
• Document patient care accurately using Epic
• Active Registered Nurse license required
• Minimum 1 year orthopedic or medical-surgical nursing experience required
• BLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• ACLS preferred
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Must meet 100-mile radius requirement
• Locals are not accepted
• Travel experience not required
