The Product Strategy Manager plays a pivotal role in shaping the future of Corporate Central’s products, services, and the Beastro platform. Serving as the organization’s primary owner of market and industry intelligence, this role ensures Corporate Central proactively understands evolving market, competitive, and member-driven dynamics. Reporting to a senior leader, the Product Strategy Manager leads products through discovery, partner vetting, business case development, and formal approval, while serving as a trusted product subject matter expert and advocate.


This role oversees key aspects of the member experience, prioritizes product enhancements aligned to member needs and organizational strategy, and applies market intelligence to inform technology, service, and go-to-market decisions. The Product Strategy Manager collaborates closely across teams, supports training and knowledge transfer, and represents Corporate Central at industry events, traveling up to 25% of the time to present our Beastro technology, CUSOs, products, and product concepts.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities
 

Product Discovery & Evaluation

  • Lead and develop the discovery phase for new products and enhancements, including market research, member feedback, internal needs assessments, and competitive analysis
  • Leverage ongoing market and industry intelligence to proactively identify emerging opportunities, risks, and gaps
  • Facilitate ideation sessions and cross-functional brainstorming to identify opportunities and define product concepts
  • Develop business cases, product feature brochures, initial pricing scenarios, revenue streams and estimates, feasibility studies, and risk assessments to support product recommendations

Partner Vetting & Collaboration

  • Identify, evaluate, and recommend strategic partners and vendors for product initiatives
  • Maintain active relationships with industry partners and vendors to understand pricing models, product roadmaps, market positioning, and partnership opportunities
  • Lead and facilitate meetings with potential partners, ensuring alignment with business objectives and member needs
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders and industry experts 

Market, Industry & Strategic Intelligence

  • Monitor developments across the credit union industry, fintech ecosystem, regulatory environment, and broader financial services landscape
  • Track and synthesize insights from sources including Filene Research Institute, ACU, peer credit unions, CUSOs, fintech partners, regulators, and industry forums
  • Monitor non-technology drivers of change such as regulatory posture, economic conditions, risk trends, and operational pressures
  • Translate market and industry insights into implications and recommendations for product strategy, prioritization, and investment decisions
  • Provide regular, structured updates and executive-level summaries to Senior Leadership and other stakeholders as appropriate

Formal Approval & Handoff

  • Prepare product proposals, ROI and documentation for formal approval by leadership and the product development team
  • Collaborate with project manager and product/relationship owners to support a smooth transition from discovery to development 
  • Ensure all necessary requirements and analysis are complete for project teams to begin launch plans, execute project timelines, and deliver final product 

Training & Enablement

  • Help develop and deliver training materials, workshops, and presentations for internal teams on new products, processes, and partner solutions
  • Serve as a resource for ongoing product education and adoption  

Industry Engagement & Presentation

  • Travel up to 25% of the time to conferences, industry events, partner meetings, and council meetings
  • Present our Beastro technology, CUSOs and product concepts to external audiences, representing the organization’s innovation and expertise
  • Use industry engagement as a key method for gathering market intelligence and strengthening strategic relationships
  • Build networks and share thought leadership at industry forums 

Continuous Improvement

  • Own the ongoing rhythm of market awareness across the organization, ensuring insights are timely, relevant, actionable and shared within Teams channels
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Business Development to align market intelligence with positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategy
  • Seek out ways to utilize AI in ongoing research, partnership vetting, pricing considerations, and more
  • Help foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning across the organization
Requirements


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Thorough knowledge of Corporate Central’s products, services and credit union philosophy
  • Ability to use AI effectively is required; ability to use AI fluently is desirable 
  • Ability to collect, organize, interpret, and present data using tools such as Excel and Power BI 
  • Ability to show curiosity for technology 
  • Ability to analyze problems logically and creatively and find effective solutions 
  • Ability to protect the organization, members, and yourself from cyber threats such as malware, phishing, hacking, identity theft, etc.
  • Ability to work effectively with others towards a common goal 
  • Ability to set goals, prioritize tasks, and manage time without constant supervision or feedback 
  • Ability to communicate effectively with their colleagues, managers, clients, and stakeholders using various digital channels, such as email, instant messaging, video conferencing, etc. 
  • Maintain and enhance applicable Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) 

Additional Responsibilities 

  • Familiarity with credit union philosophy, laws, compliance, and regulatory requirements related to matters of state and federally chartered credit unions 
  • Familiarity with Corporate Central’s Bylaws, policies, and operational procedures 
  • Familiarity with and compliance with the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA), Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council (FFIEC), Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA), Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Anti-Money Laundering (AML), USA PATRIOT Act, Office of Foreign Asset Control (OFAC), and all other relevant regulatory requirements
  • Familiarity with information security best practices and data protection responsibilities, and compliance with all cyber security requirements of Corporate Central 

Education and Experience

  • Associate degree or equivalent and comprehensive experience in the financial services industry preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in product management, strategy, business development, or related discipline, with direct experience in product discovery and partner vetting
  • Proven track record in an emerging leadership role, collaborating in cross-functional teams and driving strategic initiatives
  • Experience working in financial services, fintech, credit unions, or technology-driven organizations is highly desirable
  • Experience developing business cases, conducting market research, and facilitating training sessions
