 Job Title: Director of Admissions and Enrollment

Position 

The Position: The Director of Admission & Enrollment supervises and coordinates the admission and enrollment process at St. Michael. They are responsible for empowering students, staff, parents, and other community members to promote the growth and expansion of the school through efforts that are consistently complimentary and compatible with the school’s mission statement, policies and priorities.

In the role as the Director of Admission & Enrollment he/she coordinates and facilitates all admission inquiries and follows the application of a candidate until the student is accepted and enrolled in the school. In collaboration with the Communication & Marketing Coordinator, he/she oversees the institutional integrity of all publications, related marketing materials, press releases, branding, etc. of the school to prospective families. This position reports to the President and is a member of the school Leadership Team. 


Job Responsibilities 

  • Provide measurable and achievable annual goals and a monthly plan to communicate to the President and Board of Trustees at bi-monthly meetings.
  • Adhere to established policies and procedures for student recruitment and enrollment. If changes are to be made, involve all parties involved to plan and configure policies and procedures.
  • Articulate the mission of St. Michael to potential students and their families; 
  • Facilitate interaction between administrators, teachers, parents, partner schools, students, and their families; 
  • Plan, select and purchase recruitment, admissions, and enrollment materials and giveaways 
  • Work with students and families through the admissions process:  from Inquiry, to Admissions and then Enrollment phases;
  • Organize middle school, freshmen and transfer student/parent tours, and other informational events; 
  • Organize partner school campus visits; 
  • Organize and execute the student shadow program; 
  • Maintain orderly records on status of applications, deadlines, etc. within online databases and online application and enrollment software. 
  • Coordinate re-enrollment process and contracts for returning families 
  • Read applications and make admissions decisions in partnership with the Administration based on criteria guided by the St. Michael the Archangel mission
  • Schedule and plan for annual Open Houses; 
  • Collaborate with the Communications and Marketing Coordinator, Advancement team and other school departments and divisions in developing and managing marketing strategies, including production of solicitation materials; 
  • Provide appropriate communication on behalf of the high school with all potential partner schools including a once-per-month Admissions Newsletter; 
  • Maintain communication with partner school principals, admission directors, eighth grade counselors, parish school of religion leaders and local parish pastors;
  • Select, train, organize and direct student ambassadors; 
  • Assemble, organize and direct parent ambassadors; 
  • Develop marketing/recruitment strategies and outreach to the greater community; 
  • Assist with additional duties as assigned by the President

Requirements

BA/BS; MA/MBA preferred; 5+ years’ experience in admissions, school recruitment/admissions, sales, marketing, mission work, or another related field
