Role:

The Business Development Associate (BDA) role is an integral part of the go-to market strategy and must act as an effective sales partner to the business.  This is an entry level direct selling role with a focus on building a local market and working in conjunction with Business Development Executives and Partners to sell work.  The primary role of the channel is to develop new relationships and secure new clients.  This is a business development position and additional duties besides commission-based work may be assigned. Professional behavior and adhering to EFESO values are of paramount importance as the BDA channel will often be first contact prospective clients have with EFESO. 

  

Responsibilities:

  •  Map the Consumer Goods landscape across food & beverage, household products, personal care, and packaging-intensive categories. 
  •  Build and maintain account dossiers with insights on organizational structure, investment priorities, operational challenges, and competitive dynamics. 
  •  Identify and qualify new leads through targeted outreach, events, conferences, and digital channels. 
  •  Support Partners in developing account penetration strategies for priority CPG clients. 
  •  Develop pitch materials, case studies, and value propositions tailored to CPG and Food & Beverage sub-sectors. 
  •  Manage follow-ups, meeting summaries, and next-step actions to keep momentum in the sales cycle. 



Education:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree required in Supply Chain, Engineering, Operations Management, or related fields; MBA or advanced degree in a relevant field is highly preferred.
  • Relevant professional certifications (e.g., P.E., Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt).

Experience: 

  

  • Defining appropriate target accounts via local market knowledge and local market research
  • Experience networking in a defined geographical area to obtain introductory sales meetings. 
  • Participating in introductory sales meetings generally in conjunction with a Partner or Business Development Executive 
  • Coordinating and setting up introductory meetings (M1s) via direct contact including phone and email with target clients  
  • Identifying new target clients based on own research 
  • Helping BDEs and Partners prepare for meetings by client specific research and by providing detailed accounts of how meeting was secured 
  • Maintaining complete, accurate and timely maintenance of the CRM including client contact history

Requirements

  

Work Environment:  

· Type of role: Full-Time - Remote  

· Travel: 80-100%, on-site client location(s) 

· Client environments: may require standing and/or walking for long periods

Compensation: 

The wage range for this role considers a wide range of factors considered in making compensation decisions including skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At EFESO, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The salary range for this position is $75.000-$95.000.
