Job Summary:


INB Bank’s Summer 2026 Finance & Credit Internship is designed for high-performing undergraduate students seeking hands-on exposure to commercial banking, credit underwriting, and relationship management within a growing, privately held national bank.

This program is not observational. Interns operate as embedded members of the banking team, contributing to real transactions, real analysis, and real decision-making alongside senior credit officers, relationship managers, and executive leadership.



Requirements

What You Will Do


As a Finance/Credit Intern, you will gain broad exposure across INB’s core banking functions, including: 

  • Credit analysis and underwriting support
  •  Financial statement analysis and cash flow modeling 
  • Industry, market, and borrower research
  • Risk assessment and credit memorandum preparation
  • Collaboration with Relationship Managers, Risk Associates, Wealth Management, and Cash Management teams 
  • Participation in internal meetings and deal discussions
  • Each intern will also complete a capstone project designed to deliver tangible value to the team and provide senior leadership with actionable insights. 

What You Will Learn

  • How commercial credit decisions are evaluated and approved
  • How balance sheets, income statements, and cash flows drive lending outcomes
  • How banks assess borrower risk, industry dynamics, and collateral structures
  • How relationship-driven banking operates in growth markets such as Florida
  • How to communicate financial analysis clearly and professionally

Basic Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program (rising sophomore through senior)
  • Majors preferred: Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Management, or related fields
  • Availability to work full-time during the summer internship period

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel proficiency strongly preferred)
  • Foundational understanding of financial statements and cash flow analysis
  • Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to learn new software and systems quickly
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a team environment
