MARKETING & EXPERIENCE INTERN — Summer 2026

About the Internship
MetroNational’s Marketing & Experience Internship offers a structured, paid learning experience for students interested in brand storytelling, events, digital content, communications, and customer engagement across our Memorial City properties
Interns spend approximately 75% of their time working directly with the Marketing & Experience team on impactful, real-world work, and 25% participating in company-wide programming such as professional development, site tours, shadow days, and networking.
You’ll collaborate with marketing and event professionals who embody MetroNational’s values of Trust, Integrity, Impact, and Legacy, and you’ll help create meaningful experiences that shape how customers, guests, and the community engage with Memorial City.
This is a competitive internship designed to provide portfolio-ready work, practical marketing skills, and exposure to a fast-paced mixed-use real estate environment.
What You’ll Do
- Support planning and execution of events, on-site activations, and guest experience programs.
- Assist with social media content creation, related to event and activations including brainstorming creative concepts, gathering assets, and supporting scheduling.
- Assist with photography/videography capture during events or content shoots as needed.
- Contribute to customer experience initiatives by monitoring engagement, gathering feedback, and supporting brand consistency.
- Conduct research on trends, target audiences, competitive landscapes, and brand engagement strategies.
- Document your work clearly and deliver a final presentation summarizing your contributions.
Technologies & Tools You May Be Exposed To
- Social media management tools (Meta Business Suite, Hootsuite, Sprout, etc.)
- Canva or Adobe Creative Suite
- Microsoft Office (Teams, PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
- Content calendars or project management platforms
- Photography/videography tools, digital asset libraries
Education & Training Pathways
Candidates may qualify through any one of the following:
- Enrollment in an accredited college or university majoring in Marketing, Communications, Advertising, Public Relations, Digital Media, Hospitality, or similar fields
- Enrollment in or recent completion of an accredited training or trade program related to marketing, content creation, design, or communications
- Completion of a recognized certificate program in digital marketing, branding, creative media, social content, or communications
All applicants must submit a transcript or program record, showing:
- Minimum 3.2 GPA for college students
- Equivalent performance evaluation for trade/certificate students (project score, instructor evaluation, or pass status)
Additional Requirements
- Must commit to the full 8 weeks (June 1 – July 24, 2026), full-time and on-site in Houston.
- Remote internships are not available.
- Candidates unable to commit to all 8 weeks may be considered at lower priority.
- Demonstrated creativity, communication skills, attention to detail, and professionalism.
