Use your powers for good as a Media Manager focused on behavior change for Marketing for Change, an independent national advertising firm propelled by behavioral science and dedicated to driving positive social change.
We’re looking for a dynamic, high performing media professional who will translate our behavioral strategies into high-impact paid media campaigns that reach and engage our audiences. You’ll lead media buyers, elevate campaign performance, and collaborate with strategy and creative leaders. We need a confident media expert and strategic partner – someone who can advise clients and senior stakeholders, uncover meaningful insights from performance data, and turn those insights into compelling stories of impact for our clients. The campaigns you manage will help people access mental health support and health care, among other behaviors for good.
About You
- You bring at least 8 years of experience managing paid media campaigns (including digital channels like social media, programmatic, search-engine marketing; and/or traditional channels like TV, radio, and out-of-home).
- You have demonstrated experience managing paid media campaigns ranging from $50K - $8M with accountability for results.
- You have a proven ability to mentor and manage a small media team, while establishing workflows and processes that drive efficiency and ownership.
- You are data-savvy and results-focused. You know how to connect metrics to client goals, optimize for performance, and confidently translate performance data into compelling narratives that show the value of our work and help clients understand their results.
- You have strong negotiation and vendor management skills, and can confidently evaluate, negotiate, and manage media contracts to maximize impact and efficiency.
- You enjoy keeping multiple campaigns on track and being a trusted advisor to colleagues and clients.
- You have a collaborative spirit and enjoy sharing your knowledge and helping others grow.
- You are proactive. You anticipate challenges, spot opportunities, and take initiative without waiting for direction.
- You have an innate curiosity and a passion for learning. You’re naturally interested in what’s changing in media and marketing, and you seek out new tools and trends to keep up with a rapidly changing media landscape.
- You have a passion for social change work and a desire to use your media expertise to make a real difference.
Our ideal candidate has experience creating media campaigns rooted in behavioral science, and understands the value of influence beyond impressions.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary Range: Salary will be commensurate with experience, with an expected range between $85,000 - $110,000.
About Marketing for Change
We are an advertising agency that leverages the power of social psychology, neuroscience and behavioral economics to advance social causes. Founded in 2005, Marketing for Change helps foundations, nonprofits, governments and companies “do good better.”
Our 30-plus team includes copywriters, filmmakers, designers, researchers, developers and strategists — not to mention musicians, artists, podcasters, kayakers, and mountaineers. Because that part of life is just as important as work. Our work hubs are located in Orlando and just outside Washington, DC, and we very much prefer to hire people willing to locate in those areas. We are mostly a hybrid workforce with staff working together in-person at least one day a week because we value the fun and collaboration that allows.
Some of the perks:
- We care about each other. We check in. We advocate and cover for each other. We cheer each other on. And we like to hang out.
- We offer a comprehensive benefits package including vacation, sick and holiday leave, 401(k) matching contributions, and paid parental leave. We offer a range of health plans including PPO and HSA healthcare, as well as dental, disability and life insurance.
- We are a deliberately developmental workplace. That means we will help you develop and pursue professional goals that match your life goals and purpose.
- We prioritize balance and flexibility. We are at our desks most days for 8 hours, not 10. We are open to schedule adjustments and flexible schedules.
- We are a flat organization. Everyone’s ideas are valued. Anyone can spearhead a new company initiative or make change.
- We care about social change. We show up each day as part of a fun and friendly work culture to do inspiring work that makes the world a better place.
