Description

Healthrise is seeking an experienced IT Operations Engineer to operate and support critical Azure-based infrastructure, platforms, and Kubernetes workloads. This role is hands-on and production-focused, responsible for reliability, performance, security, and operational maturity across cloud services, container platforms, databases, and virtualized environments.


The ideal candidate has strong Azure operations experience, is comfortable supporting AKS in production, and excels at automating infrastructure and operational workflows using Infrastructure as Code and API-driven tooling.

Requirements

Azure Cloud & Infrastructure Operations

  • Operate, maintain, and optimize Azure infrastructure and platform services in production. 
  • Manage Azure DNS, including API-based DNS automation and lifecycle management.
  • Administer Azure networking components (vNets, routing, private endpoints, service integration). 
  • Ensure availability, resiliency, and security of Azure-hosted workloads. 

AKS & Container Platform Operations

  • Operate and support Azure Kubernetes Services (AKS) clusters in production. 
  • Manage cluster lifecycle, upgrades, node pools, and scaling. 
  • Troubleshoot containerized workloads, networking, and storage within AKS. 
  • Partner with engineering teams to ensure Kubernetes workloads are production-ready. 

Linux & Systems Administration

  • Serve as a Linux Systems Administrator for Azure-hosted systems and AKS nodes. 
  • Perform provisioning, patching, performance tuning, monitoring, and security hardening. 
  • Troubleshoot OS-level and application-level issues across distributed systems.   

Azure Virtual Desktop

  • Operate and support Azure Virtual Desktop environments. 
  • Ensure reliable, secure access to virtual desktops and applications. 
  • Troubleshoot session, identity, networking, and performance issues. 

Infrastructure as Code & Automation

  • Design, deploy, and manage infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, specifically Bicep
  • Automate provisioning, configuration, and operational tasks using APIs and scripting.
  • Reduce manual operational effort through repeatable, version-controlled workflows.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong hands-on experience operating Microsoft Azure environments. 
  • Production experience with Azure Kubernetes Services (AKS).
  • Proficiency in Linux system administration. 
  • Experience administering PostgreSQL databases. 
  • Experience supporting Big Data or analytics platforms. 
  • Knowledge of DNS systems, including API-driven management. 
  • Experience with monitoring and observability platforms (Datadog or similar). 
  • Experience operating Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) environments. 
  • Practical experience with Infrastructure as Code (Bicep or similar). 
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across cloud, container, OS, and application layers. 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience operating Kubernetes in regulated or high-availability environments.
  • Familiarity with Azure security and governance (RBAC, Policy, private networking).
  • PowerShell, Bash, and REST APIs.
  • Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and processes
  • Exposure to multi-cloud environments is a plus. 
  • Database Administrator (DBA) experience for Azure-hosted database platforms. 
  • PostgreSQL (managed and self-hosted) administration and optimization experience. 
  • Big Data and analytics platforms experience, including performance tuning and capacity planning.
  • Experience implementing, maintaining monitoring, logging, and APM tooling (e.g., Datadog). 
  • Experience ensuring systems are instrumented for metrics, logs, and alerting.
