ABOUT THE ROLE
Righter’s Auto Repair is growing quickly, and we are looking for a Service Advisor to join our Plainfield Ave location in Grand Rapids.
This is a fast-paced, team-driven environment built around strong leadership, clear communication, and high standards. We are not looking for someone to simply “work the counter.” We are looking for someone who wants to grow, learn, and be part of a motivated, professional team that takes pride in the work we do.
If you are energized by people, enjoy problem-solving, and want to build real skills in a challenging role, this may be the right opportunity for you.
OUR CORE VALUES
Everything we do is guided by four core values:
• Be Intentional
• Be Teachable
• Be Resourceful
• Be Committed to Craft
Our Service Advisors are expected to live these values daily — with customers, teammates, and leadership.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
As a Service Advisor, you are the primary connection between our customers and our technicians. Your role is critical to both customer experience and shop performance.
Responsibilities include:
• Greeting customers and listening carefully to their concerns
• Communicating vehicle needs clearly and professionally
• Translating technical information into easy-to-understand recommendations
• Coordinating workflow between customers and technicians
• Managing repair orders, estimates, and follow-up communication
• Supporting shop goals through teamwork, organization, and accountability
• Delivering a consistent, high-quality customer experience
This is a demanding role that rewards effort, professionalism, and growth.
WHO THIS ROLE IS FOR
This position is ideal for someone who wants to be challenged and developed.
We are looking for individuals who are:
• Strong communicators who take pride in customer service
• Teachable and open to learning new systems and skills
• Resourceful and calm in a busy environment
• Intentional about doing things the right way
• Committed to personal growth and professional standards
• Motivated by being part of a high-performing team
Customer service or sales experience is a plus. Automotive experience is helpful but not required — we are willing to train the right person.
WHY WORK AT RIGHTER’S AUTO REPAIR
• A strong, motivated team that supports each other
• Clear expectations and leadership support
• Ongoing training and skill development
• Opportunities for advancement as the company grows
• Competitive pay with performance incentives
• A culture built on accountability, trust, and craftsmanship
We are building something long-term and want people who want to build with us.
If you have experience with domestic automobiles and are motivated to become an integral contributor to our team, then we are serious about rewarding you with an incredible career opportunity! We pride ourselves on having a strong, committed team. You will not be left without support, someone will be there to pick you up and lend a hand when things get tough.
